We use the imperative to give an order or an advice. (Folosim imperativul
pentru a da un sfat sau o poruncă/ordin). It has a similar form to present simple, but there are some differences: 1. We use it only for the second person singular and plural (you). 2. We use it without a pronoun. (Folosim verbul fără pronume).
Affirmative form: Main verb+!
Ex: Go!, Run!, Swim! ( Mergi/Mergeți!, Fugi/Fugiți!, Înoată/Înotați!) Negative form: Don’t+main verb+! Ex: Don’t go!, Don’t run!, Don’t swim! If we want to give a suggestion we can use Let’s+main verb. Ex: Let’s go!, Let’s stay here!
