There are some possible solutions that can be considered for the first problem
which is high waste material disposal cost due to a lot of waste material produces in
one day. From the survey, four waste produce per day has the highest percentage
among the others which is 33.3 %.The first one is by recycling the recyclable
materials by placing recycle bin for plastic, paper and glass materials around the
UNIMAP campus. From the survey, 68.6 % of the total respondents recycle the
waste materials.

This way also make the student and staff easier to get rid the trash. Next, place the
water filling machine to encourage the student or office staff to refill the drinking
water. The plastic bottle usage can be reduced when they are do not buy the
drinking water. Lastly, the plastic bottle can be reused as a garden art as they can be
turned into plastic bottle planter by modifying them to the respective shape and
painting them in the variety of colour.
 For the second problem which is hot weather phenomena occur due to global
warming in UNIMAP campus, there are several solutions which have been proposed.
First of all, by planting the trees around the area of UNIMAP campus because it can
protect the student and staff from the sun when they are outside of the campus
building. From the survey, 70.6 % of the respondent realized that the hot weather in
Perlis due to lack of trees and planting trees have the highest percentage to solve
the global warming which is 78.4 %.

The trees also be able to provide the oxygen and lowering the carbon dioxide
content. Then, switch off the lights and other appliances in classroom or laboratory
when they are not in use. They are consuming a lot of energy especially in lighting
and air conditioning. Lastly, encourage the student to use the public transport such
as bus to attend the class. By this way, we can reduce the harmful gases production
spread around the atmosphere due to burning fuel from the car and motorcycle
engine.
