1. Tag out machine by


placing a “DO NOT
OPERATE” tag backed
with velcro, making sure
it is covering the “CYCLE
START” button.

Note: Squaring heads may


fix the problem, but if you
do have to align the heads
then you MUST square
them after (refer to
4.7W012).

 Align one seal bar head

2. Remove 2 pallet uprights and the straw seat from the pallet
located before seal bar #1.

Use this alignment tool


for Seal Bar Head #5-note
the number “5”.

Use this alignment tool


for all others.

3. Sit tool on straw seat and screw in 2 screws.

*Tech’s tip: Original screws are too short; use the longer ones that
are kept in the box with alignment tools.

4. Move pallet forward into position of the
specific head by manually rotating the fly
wheel.
 This is incorrect!!! Seal bars

 The bottom of the seal bars should be 18mm from the top of the
pallet.

Aligning Heads Vertically:

Jacking screw

1. To adjust height... Loosen 4 bolts and turn jacking screws (4)


slightly (they are course, not fine adjustments).

 Work on one side of head, once at correct height and level


proceed to work on other side.

2. Shut air off, and slide seal bar over


alignment tool to achieve correct
height.

3. Repeat adjustment of loosening bolts, adjusting jacking screws,


and retightening bolts.

4. Make sure head is level on two different planes; use leveler to


verify.

 Reaffirm that head is level after tightening all bolts.

5. Repeat step #s 1-4 for vertically


aligning other side of head.

6. Feel for height differential, adjust


until the heights of seal bars are
even with each other.

Aligning Heads horizontally:
1. Work on one side of head first.

 If seal bar moves the post of


the alignment tool forward or
backward when closing head,
then it needs to be aligned
horizontally.

2. Loosen 4 jam nuts on sides.

3. Loosen 4 bolts (same ones


used for vertical alignment).

4. Adjust horizontal
alignment by turning
jacking screws w/stubby
Allen wrench.

 Loosen side you want to


move away from; and
tighten side you want to
bring it towards.
6. Move pallet to camera station
