2/24-3/1: Attend North Texas Cybersecurity group meeting and gain additional feedback
on original work.

Monday 2/17
Emailed mentor and other mentee discussing next meeting.

Tuesday 2/18
Research application development concepts in preparation for mentor meeting
tomorrow.

Wednesday 2/19
Conducted 4th mentor meeting, where we discussed specific application components.
Determined that a practical application with basic functionality is the primary goal, and
aesthetics/form of application is secondary.

Thursday 2/20
Conducted brief research on application development languages.

Friday 2/21
Finished Mentor Assessment #2, which focused on my findings from this past meeting.

Saturday 2/22 - Sunday 2/23

Coded password generation algorithm for application.

Monday 2/24
Updated Digital Portfolio with Mentor Assessment #2

Tuesday 2/25
Confirmed meeting with mentor at monthly cybersecurity group meeting. .

Wednesday 2/26
Coded initial encryption algorithm.

Thursday 2/27
Attended the North Texas Cybersecurity Group meeting focused on Third Party Risk
Assessment
Friday 2/28
Completed Evidence of Learning #3 that analyzed my findings from the previous
cybersecurity group meeting.

Saturday 2/29 - Sunday 3/1

Began researching new encryption methods, and also began working on original work
and mentor log.

Upcoming Goals
Research new encryption algorithm and finish application basic functionality.

Reflection
These past two weeks were fairly productive in terms of original work progress. I was able to
finalize my application’s purpose and begin working on its development. Additionally, I was able
to continue expanding my understanding of the cybersecurity field by attending the North Texas
Cybersecurity Group meeting. Looking forwards, I need to continue working on my original work
in order to stay on track to finish before final presentation night. By doing this, I will have plenty
of time to make aesthetic adjustments in order to develop a functional and presentational
application.
