only helping our own citizens but the rest of the world by sending medical teams and
exporting medicines" during the coronavirus crisis, Pakistan was only "exporting terror".

Foreign Office Spokesperson Aisha Farooqui on Friday strongly rejected the "irresponsible,
spurious and totally false allegations" against Pakistan by the Indian army chief .)
2 How china acted so efficiently?
The core legislation dealing with epidemics in China is the Law on the
Prevention and Treatment of Infectious Diseases, 1989 (LPTID). It divides
infectious diseases into categories, each accompanied by appropriate
response measures.

Additionally, The Regulation on Contingent Public Health Emergencies,

2003,(RCPHE) establishes an emergency response system, allowing central
and provincial governments to coordinate their efforts. This regulation was
complemented with the Law on Emergency Response, 2007. This law
requires government institutions at all levels to formulate contingency plans
for emergencies and employ them according to the needs of their respective
administrative areas.

First, in line with the powers granted under Article 43 of LPTID, a

lockdown was imposed in Hubei. All transportation to and from the affected
province was prohibited, and heavy restrictions were placed on citizens’
movements, with only essential services allowed to continue. Second,
protocols for diagnosis and treatment were put in motion to prevent further
spread of the virus. The most important measure was the availability of free
and rapid testing; especially for those whose medical insurance could not
afford the costs. Third, the government made efficient use of technology,
such as big data and artificial intelligence (AI), allowing it to strengthen
contact tracing and track developing clusters in infected areas

3 Pakistan
3.1 Challenges pakistan is facing
 With the population growing at 1.8pc a year, the prospects are dismal.
 Another serious problem adding to the country’s woes are the shrinking job
opportunities in the oil-producing Arab and Gulf countries that are the biggest source of
employment for Pakistani expatriate workers
 According to report of asia development bank, 9,46000 pakistani peple will be unemployed
 akistan`s total debt and liabilities stand at about Rs41 trillion, which is
almost 94pc of the country’s GDP. The external debt situation is
particularly problematic.
4 How the world is coping with problem
citizens in developed countries have financially been supported by the
state, e.g. Canada and Germany.

Spain is putting in place a basic income support programme,

which aims to create a permanent mechanism of providing a minimum
sustenance for all.
