New Features The 735B, 740B, and 740B Ejector Articulated Trucks will replace the 735, 740, and
740 Ejector Articulated Trucks.

The changes to the B Series Articulated Trucks include a new Tier 4 Interim engine,
increased performance, improved shifting, improved retarding, Traction Control
System (TCS), cab updates, chisel edge styling, fully featured Lesser Regulated
Countries (LRC) platform, and the ability to accommodate the new Tier 4 Interim
emissions technology to meet new stringent emission regulations.

C15 ACERT™ Tier 4I Engine The engine has changed significantly to meet the Tier 4 Interim EPA regulations and
European Union Stage IIIb emissions control standards. (Not included in LRC
machines).

Operator’s Station Operator’s station has changed and now features a new dash cluster, switches, and
operator controls. Color Multi-Purpose Display (CMPD) has replaced the optional
Messenger Monitoring System. Updates to internal aesthetics and comfort also
includes a new glass door.

ECPC Control All B Series Articulated Trucks are equipped with an Electronic Clutch Pressure
Control (ECPC) transmission for improved shift quality.

Integrated Power Train The power train is now automated and integrated with the traction control.

735/740/740 Ejector and 735B/740B/740B Ejector Differences

Machine Appearance The 735B/740B/740B Ejector truck features updated machine appearance. The
updated engine enclosure, operator’s station, integrated hydraulic and steering tank,
new fuel tank design, front work lights, styling, and front and rear chassis structure
changes add to the overall machine appearance.

Operator’s Station The operator’s station features a new dash, switches, and operator controls. The
new dash incorporates a new instrument display cluster and new monitoring system.

Monitoring System The monitoring system has been updated from the Messenger option to the Color
Multi-Purpose Display (CMPD) monitor.

Engine The C15 ACERT™ Tier 4 Interim engine has been updated from a Mechanical
Electronic Unit Injector (MEUI-A) fuel system to the MEUI-C next generation fuel
system with refined injection. Additional changes include a next generation
turbocharger, next generation electronics and control software, and electric priming
pump. Further additions include an open crankcase ventilation and a third fuel filter.
The C15 meets all of the emissions requirements for the EPA Tier 4 Interim and EU
Stage IIIb regulations.

Hydraulic Cooling Fan System The hydraulic cooling system has been rearranged, moving the air conditioning
condenser to the front of the Air to Air AfterCooler (ATAAC), previously on the rear of
the cab. The cooling bypass valve has moved from below the fan motor to beside the
fan motor.

B Series Tier 4 Interim and B Series LRC Differences

Machine Appearance The LRC machines are a full featured B Series machine in appearance; however the
LRC machine does not include the new Emissions System. Therefore, the main
difference affects the engine, where it must now accommodate the cooling capability
that would have been assisted by the Emissions System.

Operator’s Station The operator’s station is similar to the B Series machine, excluding the Emissions
switches and buttons.

Monitoring System The monitoring system is the same as the B Series machine.

Engine The engine is the similar to the B Series machine but has a different cooling system
and is a C15 ACERT™ Tier II engine.

Hydraulic Cooling Fan System The hydraulic cooling fan is the same as the B Series machine.

Power Train The power train is the same as the B Series machine.

Steering System The steering system is the same as the B Series machine.

Hoist Hydraulic System The hoist hydraulic system is the same as the B Series machine.

Brake System The brake system is the same as the B Series machine.
