Rationale :
Republic Act 9003, otherwise known as Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of
2000, states that every barangay should have adequate garbage disposal facilities and an efficient
recycling program. In line with this we are in the process of procuring durable garbage cans that can
withstand years of abuse and can also be used to segregate waste before it can be process in the
Municipality's Materials Recovery Facility (MRF). These garbage receptacles are made of recycled
materials, specifically they are made of old tires so in a way it is environmentally friendly and safe for
human interaction.

Objectives

To purchase garbage receptacles and distribute it to the streets and puroks of the barangay
(Biodegradable, Recyclable, Special Waste) to control and minimize the number of unsegregated wastes.

Recommendations:

In view of the above, it respectfully requested that the amount of eleven thousand one hundred thirty
pesos only (P 11,130.00) be approved for the procurement of new garbage cans for the people of
Barangay II.
