S06 Persuasive Speaking Reflection

Just like my persuasive essay, the topic which Vini and I got wasn’t one that I was totally on

board for, even after research. Even though it wasn’t my ideal topic, I put myself in a position

where I believed that this topic was correct. What I am most proud of is that I was able to find

logical reasons, which aren’t the usual reasons people think of when they hear this topic like

“phones ruin your eyes”. I was also able to find sufficient amounts of reliable sources. During

the speech, I think I could have spoken with more emotion, but by adding rhetorical questions, I

was able to get the point across quite well. In the end, I found myself spending loads of time to

work on this speech, and I was a little disappointed to lose the debate, even though I believed we

should’ve won.
