c. Considering the policy directions the government has taken, how would you rate the
effectiveness of these policies in 1. Controlling the epidemic; and 2. Ensuring a decent standard
of life for all?

It would be 6 out of 10. Though it isn’t totally just about the way the government has built the
mechanisms, it’s also about the discipline of the people all over the country. The policy would’ve
been more effective and wouldn’t have caused too much if only everyone was obedient enough
to listen and comply with what is asked to them.

1. With regards to controlling the epidemic, at first I have seen how the government seemed
to not care at all that we have only been alarmed when several cases puffed out
unexpectedly that it led people to be quite aggressive. And obviously we lack the discipline,

And that decent standard of life is obviously, cannot be afford by many.

d. If you would have been given the power to decide policy prescriptions, what new policies would
you have introduced or how policies prescribed would you have changed?

I honestly don’t think the policies would have to be changed, I just think maybe it has to be
improved and have a stronger implementation that no one would be exempted. With this, I
would have to look after the people’s welfare. Since most couldn’t go to work, I at least must
make sure that they would have enough food to eat and money wouldn’t have to be a problem.
Since there are reported cases that the money is just being spent on the unnecessary things and
people who are in charge in distributing such are shamelessly being a crook, it would be better if
I would have to distribute only the basic needs. Like enough supply of food, disinfectants and a
shelter for those who were stranded and those who doesn’t have home. There has to be a
distribution every week that would be enough for every family and that there would be no more
excuses for them to get out of their houses.

If being punished is the only way for people to learn how to be disciplined, then I would happily
obliged to implement it as well.
