you better tip toe in so MoM and dad don’t see you.
Take off your boots and hide them under the couch,
Go carefully upstairs. Dry off, ( Yawn)
What a great walk!
Process
Introduce the story to the students by taking a walk in their
imagination.

Have the students lie down and listen to the story. I turn off the lights
and add the piano accompaniment.

The students find their own space and we act out the story noticing the
diFFerent Ways you can Wave ”hi”; smell the grass ; listen to the birds;
look up at a tree; stretch to touch a leaf; jump to get an apple; run in
the rain; pull to get out of the mud; quietly sneak into the house.

Run the story with the suggested music or improvise some of your own.

I chose the piano as my instrument for accompanying this piece but you
could use guitar, recorder, pitched percussion... Experiment with what
works for you. When I inserted chords or triads, I always used
inversions moving up the keyboard to avoid the repetitiveness of the
root position triad.

Have fun. I hope your students enjoy their walk
