Introduction
The purpose of this document is to provide the reader with a high level overview of the process through
which an entity accredited (henceforth referred to as Partner) within the Temenos Partner Program can be
certified as a Managed Data Migration Services Partner.

The certification process is broadly classified under three milestones

Milestone 1 – Process, Methodology & Collateral Review
1.1) Review of process & methodology documents
1.2) Review of work product templates

Milestone 2 – Update & Information dissemination to entity’s personnel

Presentation of new process, methodology & templates to Data Migration Partner personnel

Milestone 3 – Certifications through Examinations

Data Migration Partner certified resources must pass Temenos exams as per published list

Milestone 1 – Process, Methodology & Collateral Review
The Partner will first need to formalise & document the process, methodology & artefacts used by them for
Data Migration engagements.
This is a mandatory pre-requisite & the Partner needs to have these documents ready before initiating the
certification process.
For reference purposes the Partner can access the Data Migration methodology used by Temenos (&
supporting Wiki pages) on Data Migration engagements.
This information is available within the Temenos Implementation Methodology (TIM) accessed through the
Temenos Partner Support Portal (TPSP).

This milestone is divided into 2 sub sections.

1) The first sub section is exclusively dedicated to the review of the documented process &
methodology that the Partner submits for review to the Temenos.
2) The second sub section of this milestone focuses entirely upon the review of the various document
templates that will be used as work-product artefacts by the Partner in a Data Migration
engagement.
Milestone 1 is deemed complete when the process, methodology, artefacts & other relevant collateral that
will be used by the Partner for Data Migration is found to be in line with Temenos process, methodology &
information coverage requirements.
The Partner must ensure efficient turn-around times in responding to queries from Temenos & also in
submitting revised artefacts as needed.
Milestone 1 has to be completed within 20 Working Days from the initiation of the certification
process.

Milestone 2 – Update & Information dissemination to Partner’s

personnel
When Milestone 1 of the certification process is completed the Partner must provide documentary evidence
that the process, methodology, artefacts & collateral reviewed through Milestone 1 has been presented to
a wider audience of personnel internally within their organisation.
This is to ensure that the Partner personnel who will be involved in Data Migration engagements are fully
aware of the agreed process & methodology to use on Data Migration engagements. The presentation
should also cover the document & artefact templates that need to be completed as work products on each
engagement milestone.
Milestone 2 must be completed within 10 Working Days from completion of Milestone 1.

Milestone 3 – Certification of Resources
When the documentary evidence provided by the Partner on the completion of milestone 2 is accepted by
Temenos, the final milestone that must be met by the Partner is certification of their resources.
Effective from January 2017 the 4 Examinations listed below need to be successfully completed by all
certified resources nominated by the Partner to work on Upgrade engagements. Online courses and
requests for classroom courses and all examinations are available through the Temenos Learning
Community (TLC).

As can be seen from the list above, there is a specialised Examination for Data Migration that the
designated Partner certified resources who will be involved with Data Migration engagements will need to
mandatorily pass this exam does not have an associated training course.
All the other exams specified are part of the normal Learning Path for a Partner’s technical resource & will
be needed for the consultant to perform the roles & responsibilities on a Data Migration engagement.
The recommended approach for each Partner is to build a pool of exchangeable technical resources who
can be cross-skilled to work on implementation AND Migration engagements based on demand, rather than
having ring fenced teams of resources for each engagement type.
Temenos Learning Community membership and all certifications need to be kept current/active & should
not be allowed to lapse for the Partner to ensure continued certification in Managed Upgrades. The Partner
is expected to publish their resource Training Plan within 10 Working Days from completion of
Milestone 2.
Dates on the published Training and Certification plan should not exceed 200 calendar days from
the date when the certification process was initiated.
For a Partner to be certified for Managed Migration Services they must have a practice of certified
Data Migration resources. Global Partners need to evidence a Temenos Data Migration practice of
at least 25 certified resources and a Regional Partner must demonstrate a practice of at least 10
certified resources.
