INTRODUCTION 

In this proposal I’ve outlined the structure of an education program which will have two dimensions.  

ZEITGEIST MOVEMENT / VENUS PROJECT PUBLIC SEMINAR 

These seminars will be provided to the public to inform people of the problems with our current economic system and 
provide information about the Venus Project solutions based on the Activist Orientation Guide.  These sessions will 
promote the goals of the movement and actions that individuals can take to move towards a more sustainable economic 
system. 

ZEITGEIST MOVEMENT / VENUS PROJECT ACTIVISTS WORKSHOP 

Using the Zeitgeist Movement Activist Orientation Guide and Zeitgeist Movement Activist Orientation Video, 

this workshop will provide, in an interactive discussion format, information about the Zeitgeist Movement and the Venus 
Project to activists. The purpose of this education will be to train activists to communicate the tenets of the movement to 
the public. The intention will be to ensure understanding of the goals of the movement and to engage in productive 
discussions which will help achieve these goals. The foundational document will be the Activist Orientation Guide with 
additional materials – videos, files, images – discussed as appropriate to clarify understanding and develop a ‘statement of 
understanding’ when reaching out to the public. We will also establish standards for communication

This seminar for the public will be a full day session starting at 10:00 am, ending at 4:00 pm. It will include a lunch break.

ZEITGEIST MOVEMENT / VENUS PROJECT ACTIVISTS WORKSHOP 

WORKSHOP OUTLINE  

Using the Zeitgeist Movement Activist Orientation Guide and Zeitgeist Movement Activist

Orientation Video we will explore how to work towards the goals of the movement in practical, 
concrete actions that will reflect our movement as a credible and compelling solution to today’s 
problems. We will review the Zeitgeist movies, then use them as the basis for interactive discussions and 
workshops. All participants will be invited and encouraged to come up with creative ideas that cover all 
aspects of our society and its dysfunction. i.e. Financial, Health, School System, etc. As the final process, 
we will develop individual projects which will put our ideas into action. i.e. research the banking system 
and write letters to lead bankers; contact schools and inform them about our movement with the goal of 
delivering short presentations to students, contact business leaders in our community to increase 
awareness of the shortcomings of our current  economic systems.

SESSION TOPICS – DAY 3 ‐ CONSOLIDATING THE MESSAGE 
™ Standardizing the ‘Marketing’ of our Message 
 How do we standardize what we sat to the public to achieve a strong, compelling and consistent communication by 
all Toronto Zeitgeist activists 
 Establish clear guidelines as to what we’re about and what we’re NOT about 
 Provide a framework of learning to enable the progressive  development of knowledge to help everyone participate in 
creating solutions – especially on a local level. Empowering everyone to contribute and take an active role in getting 
our message out – once it’s clear. 
 Develop a system of ongoing support for both the activists and the public to provide meaningful answers to questions 
that will come up. i.e. FAQ’s, Facebook, Meetup group, TZM website links, videos 
™ Knowledge Resource Development 
 Clarifying the resources available not only about the movement but other extensive resources online – i.e. Modern 
Money Mechanics PDF file, videos, etc. 
 Developing a structure for knowledge sharing – library management, mentorships, partnerships within the movement 
and with other non‐profit community groups (preferably related, but not necessarily so) 
™ Subject Matter Experts – Development of a Team 
 Creating/establishing a team of SME’s who specialize in various areas related to the movement – i.e. transitional 
skills, banking and finance, education, business, environment, technology 

SESSION TOPICS – DAY 4 – ZEITGEIST MOVEMENT – ACTIVIST PROJECT DEVELOPMENT 
• Project Outline – each Activist will develop their own project 
¾ Establish areas of need – finance, education, environmental – and specific actions that would be required to make 
change 
¾ Define issues clearly and concisely, with the purpose of outlining specific actions which align with the ZM / VP tenets 
that can be achieved to address these issues. i.e. the financial system is only vaguely understood by most people – 
perform research on the Canadian banking system, create a flyer which outlines how our system works – reference 
your research in the flyer, gather a team to distribute flyer locally, follow up with those who received the flyer 
• Project Feedback – each Activist’s project will be critiqued by the group
