Introduction
Oracle HCM Cloud is designed to be used both globally and locally. To the end user, the system can
be regarded as a local system, while on a higher level; all these local solutions are part of an integral,
single instance and are a Global solution to the organization. Configuration setup in HCM Cloud can
accommodate customers' worldwide country requirements.

Oracle has three tiers of support for country localizations, Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3. This white paper
focuses on the three tiers to show what is delivered for each tier and which countries we currently
support for the tier. If the country is not listed in the Tier lists, the country requirements can still be
implemented with the Global products functionality.

In addition this paper also lists the languages the Fusion Applications user interface and help text are
available in.

Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud localizations are built on a global foundation that provides rich, deep
localization capabilities that are also upgrade safe. The following functionalities are supported through
our global products:

» Country-specific security requirements


» Country-specific data privacy requirements
» Country-specific Personal Identifiable Information (PII) support
» Support for statutory compliance across Legal Entities (including multiple legal entities)
» Support for local time zone
» Support for local currency (including the ability to run multi currency)
» Support for local language (Unicode and bi-directional)
» Ability to run multi-lingual in a single instance
» Person and employment data
» Support of number formats
» Support for local data formatting including
» Name
» Address
» Date
» National identifiers

Localization Tier Classification
Oracle HCM Cloud supports at different levels country specific requirements through our Localizations. The
following tiers are used to further detail the level of localization support provided out of the box. Oracle Fusion
HCM Cloud is architected to support over 200 localizations.

Tier 1 Support
Tier 1 support delivers pre-seeded functionality that can be configured in the Fusion HCM Cloud standard
global architecture for a particular country. With Tier 1, Oracle has delivered localized lookup values,
validation of data formats and content, hidden attributes that are not applicable for a country and made other
attributes mandatory in order to meet local statutory, business and cultural requirements. In Tier 1 Support
Oracle addresses local data such as:

» Name
» Address
» National Identifiers
» Person and Employment data
Below is an example of the pre-seeded Name style for Egypt. As well it shows the ability to enter a local
name. Local names are in a language other than the Global-Name Language that your company has enabled
and selected to use for the entry of person names.

Tier 2 Support
Tier 2 support provides all the functionality and support of Tier 1, plus the following:
» Country statutory and regulatory compliance requirements
» Country-specific human resource reporting
» Commonly expected country-specific functionality
Global Human Resources enables users to follow country-specific business practices and comply with its
statutory requirements through application configurations and reporting. Examples of country-specific reports
can be found on the Oracle Help Center under Review Prebuilt Analytics and Reports and HCM Reports.

» Payroll Processing and reporting compliance functionality
HCM Country localizations are delivered to help meet country statutory and regulatory functionality.

Supported Translations
The following list is the list of languages that Oracle HCM Cloud applications support. You will find
translations to your selected languages in the application user pages as well as in the application help.

In order to use these languages you will need to file a service requests through My Oracle Support (MOS) to
have the language pack installed for your environment.
