Brief Review of Work Done In Month Of JUNE:

 Station Aft with 3rd officer at arrival/departure Port.
 Station fwd with 2nd officer at arrival/departure port.
 Spend time at bridge at arrival/departure.
 Assist Boson on deck in routine deck maintenance..
 Attend all drills and training sessions carried out onboard.
 Carry out Cargo Watch with 2nd Officer @ Port.
 Handling crane operations using Monorail, handling stores,spares,garbage etc.
 Using the Admiralty Digital Tide program and provide the gangway with
Predicted height of tides at every port.
 Make full passage plan Appraisal and the list of waypoints as per SMS.
 Revise monthly And weekly ENC’s update Nav. Workstation & ECDIS received in form of CD
& floppy and generate order file for next week.
 Practice making Daily Noon Report with 2nd Officer.
 Demonstrate to calculate the estimated time of completion of cargo as per the rate of loading
& discharging.
 Demonstrate the preparation on bridge prior departure from the port as per the SMS
checklist including bridge gear test.
 Practice the Route planning & Chart Drawing.
 Different modes of Conning Display and their use.
 The purpose & Use of Echo sounder, and its significance.
 Review of Chart Folio system and arrangement of route charts on board.
 Complete monthly mandatory modules of Seagull Training Program On Board.
 Review and Revision of Use of TGNS Voyager.
 Demonstrate Use of UKC Voyage Planner.
 Review of Some General SMS & I.S.P.S. procedures used on board.
 Assist Chief Officer @ port dealing with cargo planner & port officials.
 Spend time at bridge during Suez Transit and steer the vessel.
 Demonstrate an understanding of Ballasting/De ballasting System spend time
With Bosun while doing the same.
