AC 5.1 Describe the meaning of Equal Opportunities

An equal opportunity is an opportunity where everyone involved has the


same will be treated equally, and noone will be disadvantaged by
prejudice. This will lead to the most qualified person for the task winning
the opportunity as there is no bias.

All genders will now recieve the same amount of money for working the
same position.

The Race Relations Act


Value?

This act outlawed the use of discrimination in employment, meaning that


workplaces became more diversified as emplyers couldnt be prejudice on
"grounds of colour, race, or ethnic or national origins."

The Equality Act

Value?

The Equality Act was iniatiated in 2010 by the UK government which led to
pretty much all forms of discrimition in the workplace being made illegal.
