Colonsabac, Matanao, Davao del Sur.

BRIEF HISTORY/BACKGROUND OF DISASTER INCIDENT:

Last May 29, 2017, the encounter between the Military and New People’s Army (NPA)
resulted to the death of two (2) NPA’s.
People in the area got scared as they can hear loudly the firing of guns and they can
clearly see helicopters above them. Afraid that they might be hit by any bullets, bombs or
grenade, some of the residents in the Sitio left their respective homes even without the advice of
the Military. They went down to Colonsabac Proper and stayed on their relatives.

COST OF ASSISTANCE BY LGU:

NO. OF FOOD ITEMS PROVIDED : 4 sacks of rice, 2 boxes of sardines and 2 boxes of
noodles

In this connection, we would like to ask for an additional assistance for the affected
families of the armed conflict.
