(Willington, CT – May 25, 2020) – On Sunday, May 24, 2020, it was learned that
Manfredonia left the area of Turnpike Rd., Willington after committing a home invasion where
pistols and long guns were stolen. Manfredonia took the home owner’s vehicle, traveled to
Derby where he abandoned the stolen car in the area of Osborndale State Park.
On scene in Derby, the Connecticut State Police were able to determine there may have
been another individual in the house on Roosevelt Dr. Connecticut State Police were
attempting to locate and drafting a Silver Alert when authorities from Patterson, NJ notified the
Connecticut State Police that the individual was located in their city. The individual was not
injured and brought back to CT. The individual did positively identify the captor as Peter
Manfredonia. We are purposely not releasing any information of the individual to protect the
safety of any potential witnesses and the integrity of the investigation.
The Connecticut State Police are in contact with our law enforcement partners and the
FBI in Pennsylvania, who are actively searching for the suspect.
The Connecticut State Police are asking the public to be mindful of their use on social
media. The suspect may be monitoring law enforcement efforts on all social media platforms.
This monitoring could be counterproductive in the search efforts. The Connecticut State Police,
along with our law enforcement partners will provide updates as it pertains to the search.

Please call 9-1-1 for anything immediate on the whereabouts of the suspect. Do NOT
approach, he is considered ARMED AND DANGEROUS.
