Thanks to Sheikh Zayed and other Emirati leaders, the UAE has become one of the best countries
in the world because its people live in welfare. Since the union and oil discovery, the UAE has
changed from a desert country to a modern country.

To sum up, life in the UAE is enjoyable for its tourist places and modern services. However, Emirati
people still love their heritage and they still remember the saying of Sheikh Zayed,’’ A nation
without a past is a nation without a present or future.’’

Modern Technology (The internet / Mobile phone / Social Media) ‫التكنولوجيا الحديثة‬
(Modern technology) is a common topic that has spread widely in our modern life. This topic has led to much debate among
people. Some people think that (modern technology) has advantages but other people think that (modern technology) has
disadvantages. In this essay, I will highlight the different views about (modern technology).

To begin with, some people think that (modern technology) is very useful for these reasons. The first reason is that it is a
useful source of information and knowledge. For example, it helps people know about global news, different traditions and
different cultures around the world at any time. The second reason is that it is a useful source of fun. For example, it helps people
watch movies, play games and listen to music. Therefore, they can enjoy their time.

On the other hand, other people think that (modern technology) is very harmful for these reasons. The first reason is that it is
bad for people’s health. For example, using it for a long time causes diseases like stress, headache, backache and poor eyesight.
The second reason is (that) it wastes our time. For example, when we use it for a long time, we don’t have enough time to study
our lessons, sit with our family or do sports.

To sum up, there are different views about (modern technology). However, I think that modern technology is very useful
because it has many positive effects on our life and it has made our life very easy.

The UAE is a very beautiful country that attracts visitors from all over the world because of its tourist places and
modern services. Therefore, Tourism has become a major industry in the UAE that brings money and provides
jobs for Emirati people. There are many reasons that have made the UAE a tourist country.
The first reason is that UAE has many tourist places. For example, tourists can enjoy high mountains such as
Hafeet mountain, golden sand dunes and amazing buildings like Khalifa Tower and Louvre Abu Dhabi.
The second reason is that the UAE has many modern services. For example, it has modern roads, modern
highways, international airports like Dubai Airport and modern means of transport like buses and metros.
The final reason is that UAE has many festivals. For example, tourists can visit Dubai shopping festival, Al wathba
camel race festival, National Day festival and Gitex festival.

The UAE has become one of the most developed countries worldwide. It has set up many projects. In this essay, I
will highlight the main achievements of the UAE.
To begin with, the UAE has achieved progress in space exploration. It has set up space agency and its astronaut
Hazza Al mansouri was the first Emirati to go to space. Therefore, the UAE has achieved the hope of Sheikh Zayed
in exploring the space.
The second achievement is developing infrastructure. The UAE has built many high buildings such as Khalifa
Tower which is the tallest building worldwide
Also, it has built many modern highways and it has started metro projects to make transport easy. Besides, the
UAE has built many hotels.
The final achievement is starting ecological projects. The UAE has started recycling projects to keep the
environment clean. Also, it has started to use renewable sources of energy to keep oil and to reduce pollution.
 The global role of the UAE ‫الدور العالمي لالمارات‬
The UAE is a humanitarian country. It does many charitable activities to help the poor and the needy people all
over the world.
To begin with, the UAE helps the countries that suffer from natural disasters such as earthquakes or volcanoes. It
provides these countries with food, blankets, medicine and clothing. Also, it provides money to these countries so
that they can renew the buildings or build new ones.
In addition, the UAE provides money for the countries that suffer from wars such as Yemen to renew their
infrastructure. For example, the UAE has built many hospitals in Yemen and it has sent medicine to cure sick
people in Yemen.
Moreover, the UAE tries to provide welfare for all people worldwide. It has built wells to provide water for African
people to save them from drought. Also, it has built many schools to provide education for the children in poor
countries.
To sum up, the UAE and its charitable organizations such as the Red Crescent try to provide welfare for people all
over the world by building schools and hospitals.

Environmental Problems (Air Pollution / Global Warming / Climate Change) ‫المشاكل البيئية‬
Today, we face many dangerous environmental problems like air pollution. These problems can cause many
illnesses like lung cancer. However, there are many solutions to care for our environment.
The first solution is that we should plant more trees. If we plant more trees, we will have clean air because trees
take in Carbon Dioxide and give us Oxygen.
The second solution is that we should use renewable sources of energy like wind energy and solar energy because
they are much cleaner. An example of this is the green Masdar city in Abu Dhabi. It is free from harmful gases.
The final solution is that we should reduce, reuse and recycle old things like old shoes and bags so that we can
reduce pollution.
To sum up, we have many solutions to keep the environment clean like planting more trees, using solar energy and
wind energy and reducing, reusing and recycling old things.

Expo
World Expo is a global event for millions of people to share their ideas and show innovation. It takes place every
five years and lasts for up to six months.
Being a global trade center and having first class infrastructure are among the major factors that qualify
Dubai to host Expo in 2020.
Expo will run from October 2020 to April 2021 in the UAE and is expected to attract 25 million visitors to the
site near Jebel Ali. The Dubai Metro Route 2020 will take 46,000 passengers per hour to and from the Expo site.
The theme of Dubai Expo 2020 is Connecting Minds, Creating The Future.
This big event will have positive effects on the UAE. I mean that it will increase the tourism and economy of the
UAE and it will make the UAE one of the most leading countries in the world. Also, it will be a great chance for
young Emirati people to develop their country.
To sum up, Expo is a great international event for all people around the world to share their ideas and that
UAE is lucky to host it in 2020. I hope that young Emirati people benefit well from it.
 Healthy lifestyle ‫أسلوب الحياة الصحي‬

Health is a blessing from Allah and it’s very important in people’s life. If we don’t care for our health, we will
suffer from many diseases. There are some tips that can makes us healthy.
The first tip is that we should eat healthy foods. Our diet should be balanced. It should contain important
food elements like vitamins and proteins. We should eat fruits and vegetables. We shouldn’t eat fast foods.
The second tip is that we should play sports and exercises because they make us fit and healthy. Also, they
renew our energy. Therefore, play any sport like football and do exercises every day like running to be fit.
The final tip is that we should follow healthy habits. For example, we should have a shower every day, sleep
early and get up early. It's important to avoid bad habits like smoking because it causes many diseases.
To sum up, we should follow healthy lifestyle like eating healthy foods, playing sports and doing healthy habits.
We should remember the saying, ’’ Protection is better than cure.’’

Qualities of a good teacher (parent) ‫صفات المعلم الجيد أو األب الجيد‬

Teachers (Parents) are very important in our community because they can provide it with educated citizens who
work hard to develop their community. Therefore, a teacher (a parent) should have some good qualities. In this
essay, I will talk about the qualities of a good teacher (a parent).
To begin with, a good teacher (parent) shouldn’t make any differences among students. He should treat all
students (children) equally. He should reward clever students (children) to keep their success and he should
encourage lazy students (children) to study hard and achieve success.
Besides, a good teacher (parent) should be friend to his students (children). He should listen to their problems
and try hard to solve them. He should know what his students (children) like or dislike. He should try to implant
confidence between him and his students(children).
Moreover, a good teacher (a parent) should be motivating. He should help his students (children) realise their
talents, skills and abilities so that they can enhance them and benefit well from them.
To sum up, a teacher (a parent) is very important in preparing his students (children) well to develop their
community. Therefore, a good teacher (parent) should have some good qualities to be a role model for his students.

Future of Museums ‫مستقبل المتاحف‬

Museums are important buildings that keep human heritage and transfer traditional culture to young generations.
In fact, museums in the past are different from museums today and there will be many changes to museums in the
future.
To begin with, future museums will not be limited to buildings. There will be online museums that display many
exhibits from different countries, so visitors don't need to travel to far countries to watch artistic works and
paintings. This will support cultural exchange, but it will decrease tourism.
In addition, future museums will be very developed. They will apply technological innovations such as virtual
reality. Instead of seeing only paintings, there were will be 3D movies so visitors can live the real experience.
Moreover, future museums will be held everywhere. For example, they can be held on a ship in the middle of the
sea or in a bus moving through cities so paintings and other wonderful artworks and historical items can reach
visitors in their places.
 A project for my country ‫مشروع لدولتي‬

I have many goals for my future, but my best goal is to make a great project for my country. My future project is
building a factory for solar panels. I will build it in the center of Dubai so I can sell my products in the UAE and
export them abroad. Of course, this project will have many benefits on me, my country and the environment.
To begin with, I will benefit a lot from this project. Having a big project like this will make me earn enough
money and live in welfare. Also, I can feel my role in my country and become proud of myself.
In addition, my country will benefit from this project. When people use solar panels to have solar energy which
is cheap, they will reduce using electric lights and oil in their houses and factories. Therefore, UAE will export
much oil to other countries and its economy will increase.
Besides, the environment will benefit from this project. It is known that solar energy is a clean source of energy.
Therefore, using it in running our cars and factories, lighting our houses and our roads instead of burning fuels
like oil, we will have fresh air and our environment will be clean.
To sum up, my project of producing solar panels will help me to earn enough money, increase the economy of
my country and keep the environment clean. Therefore, I will do all my best to make this project.

My Future Career ‫وظيفتي المستقبلية‬

Work is very important in our life because it helps us earn money and feel our role in the community. I have
thought a lot about my future career till I decided to become a school social worker. I chose this job because I want
to help students and solve their problems. I will join the college of humanities and social studies in UAE
University.
When I become a school social worker, I will help students to do good behaviors and keep them away from bad
habits like smoking so they can be healthy and enjoy their life. Also, I will cooperate with teachers and families to
develop students' skills and help students have a high self-esteem.
Indeed, I have many good qualities that can make a good school social worker. For example, I am friendly and
funny so I can have good relationships with students and their families. Also, I have communication skills so I can
communicate well with students and their parents. Besides, I am creative so I can discover new approaches to help
students who have problems.
Finally, I'd like to say that when I become a school social worker, I can prepare students to be good citizens and
develop their country.

The best invention ‫أفضل اختراع‬

There are many wonderful inventions that have made our life easy and comfortable but I think that laptops are the
greatest inventions. I have many reasons for my opinion.
First of all, laptop is an effective device that has a lot of benefits. It helps me in enjoying my time. For example, I can
use my laptop in listening to music and watching movies online. In addition, I can play video games on it.
The second reason is that it is useful in communication. Today, laptops contain many social networking programs
such as Facebook, Skype and messenger. Therefore, I can use these programs to communicate with my friends.
The final reason is that it is useful in education. For example, we can install educational programs on laptops and
learn from them. Also, we can do our school projects and our researches on it. Besides, we can surf the internet and
acquire much information using the
laptop.
To sum up, laptop is one of the best modern technology in our life so I recommend my friends to have such a
useful product because it has made our life better and it can be used for many purposes like communication,
entertainment and learning.
 Traditional dishes in the UAE ‫األطباق التقليدية في اإلمارات‬

Emirati people love eating traditional foods because they are very healthy. There are many
types of traditional foods in the UAE.

The first traditional food is Al Machboos. There are many types such as meat Machboos,
chicken Machboos or fish Machboos. The main ingredients of this food are rice, onions and meat
and salt. Also, some spices and a dried lemon called Loomy are added to it to give it a special flavor.
The second traditional food is Al Harees. The main elements of this food is small pieces of meat,
wheat, some salt and water. The third traditional food is Saloona. This dish consists of a mixture of
vegetables, onions, meat, chicken or fish and is served most often with boiled white rice.
Bread in the Emirati meal includes Al Balaleet and Fareed. Al Balaleet is a kind of fine
pasta made from eggs, onions, saffron, sugar and oil. Fareed is made using Ruqaq, crispy flat
bread, covered in a vegetable and meat soup.
Desserts in the Emirati meal include Luqaimat which are fried pastry balls of pancake that
is rolled in sesame seeds. As for drinks, Emirati people serve coffee or red tea filled with mint at
the end of each meal. Also, they may put cardamom or saffron on the coffee to give it a special
flavor.
To sum up, traditional foods such as Al Machboos, Al Harees, Al Balaleet and Luqaimat
are very healthy. Therefore, young Emirati people should eat these foods instead of fast foods to
keep their health.
