Unit
About CompTIA Network+ Certification • Course Outcomes • Target Audience and Course Prerequisites • About the
Course Material • Integrated Learning with Professor Messer Video Tutorials • Making a Study Plan • Using the Online
Study Resources • Preparing for the Exams • About CompTIA Certifications • Four Steps to Getting Certified •
CompTIA Career Pathway
Topics
This study guide is designed to help you complete the course and organize your study habits.

Each table lists the unit title and main topics plus the CompTIA objectives and content examples covered. For each
unit, there is a recommended study duration and the duration of the videos that accompany the text.

The recommended duration is based on an overall course duration of 40 hours. Do not feel that you have to follow it
precisely. It is there to illustrate which topics are most complex or important in terms of preparing for the exam. The
recommended duration for each unit includes the time you spend reading the text, watching the videos, making
notes, and completing the review questions.

The overall 40 hour duration does not include the practice question attempts. Plan on setting aside time to complete
follow-up study in topic areas where you did not get questions correct.

For each unit, fill in a study time and date. Use this notes area as a diary for your study habits - record any notes you
want to make about the course and how long you have actually spent studying each unit. Verify that you have
identified each CompTIA objective and content example in the notes and understand each one. Study as much (or as
little) as you like so long as you feel confident that you have done this; and can achieve a good score in the practice
tests.

Good luck!
