too. What will please our Father is to put ourselves together and
keep walking whenever we fall. No matter how people see us or
what they say about us. No matter how we feel life has been unfair
to us, we know one thing for sure, that is if we faint not but hold
on to Him who has called us, victory would be won. One great
man said our victory is not in never falling but rising up every
time we fall. Abraham fell too but got up each time he fell, put
himself together and in the end became the father of many
nations.
Keep walking because the situations you face today are a training
for the future that awaits you. You need these experiences to be
able to fully fulfil your mission. God has got hold of you and will
never put you to shame so faint not.
Prayer
Thank you father for your assurance that all that I go through
shall turn out for my good. I will not rest and lose courage when I
fall but anytime I fall, I will rise up, come home and keep moving
in you. For I know that if I faint not, I have a reward. In the name
of Jesus. Amen

the existence of man will be comfortable and successful.
The word “created” as used in the creation of man is the Hebrew
word “Bara”, which is interpreted as bringing into existence
perfect things. Everything God made was perfect and without
defect. We therefore have no weakness or defects as human
beings. In planning on how to create man, the council (the
Godhead) met and God informed The Council of how He wanted
man to be created, “after our own image and likeness”. He said.
The psalmist understood this and said “I am fearfully and
wonderfully made”. (Psalm 139:14) The word fearfully literally
means God was so careful that He did not want to make anything
different from His very nature. Therefore, God sees us as gods too
and expect us to live that spirit life and take complete hold of our

Christ taught us a lesson;

loves its own. We should
never in a second desire to
be in the world because we
want the world to love us.
Rejection is a good sign of
superiority and improvement but most often when we are rejected
by people we least expected it from, we tend to be dismayed. Let
me share with you two reasons today why you should be glad
when you are rejected.
Christ came to connect us to the blessing of Abraham as we read in
the book of Galatians. So we now walk in the blessing of blessed
Abraham. God tells us to look unto Abraham (Isaiah 51:1)
therefore as people enjoying of the Abrahamic covenant, we
should understand that our father in the flesh, Abraham was
rejected and sacked from Egypt. They could not contain him there
because of the blessing that was at work in his life. Likewise, Isaac
who also walked in this blessing was also rejected and sacked by
Abimelech because he planted in a season of drought and reaped a
hundred fold. It is the same blessing that is upon you now.
11
Jesus, when He read the book of Isaiah in the temple said, “The
Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed
me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind
up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the
opening of the prison to them that are bound”. We didn’t hear him
say to preach good news to the rich nor befriend the wealthy. He
said he was a physician sent to the sick. So one thing about the
anointing upon our lives is that the anointing takes us to places
where it can be put to use. The anointing will bring us to a
“desert” that we, with the anointing can effect changes in our
world.
As a partaker of this blessing, rejection is a sure sign. If you are not
rejected in anyway, it is an indication that you are not doing
anything relevant. Most rejections push us out of our comfort zone
into areas we would never have gone and into doing things, we
would never have. Next time you are rejected, instead of feeling
sad and crying, see it as an elevation to another level.
Prayer
Thank you father that you have called me out the world. Should
the whole world reject me, I will still be confident and fulfill my
purpose because I know you will never leave me. Help me to see
the way you have made me whenever I see rejection that I may
walk in your light in Jesus’ name. Amen

when people like that hurt
us. It isn’t of any importance holding grudges against them and
sometimes going to certain limits like not wanting to even talk to
them or share things you used to share together anymore.
You are an intricate part of God’s plan and the devil is aware that
you are a special person and will not want you to touch the peak
of what God has placed before you. Think of it this way; you share
your secrets and plans with those close to you. They in turn
advice, encourage and motivate you. Should the devil want to
plant weeds in your life, He will come through a familiar face.
There are other times the devil wants to cut off the connection we
have with other people because of the importance they have to
play in the fulfilment of our destinies. Little issues arise and cause
us to want to separate from such people. This is the key, our savior
said as we have received freely, we should give freely, as we have

who could save her people; it took Mordechai to remind her that it
is possible that God made her queen for that particular situation.
Beside any elevation, there is a purpose. Take time to see why you
find yourself where you are now and do not be too quick to only
enjoy the blessing that come with the elevation but also see that
moment as a time to save a situation for which reason we were
elevated and brought to such a place or position like that.

am a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunk
neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured
race set and we each have
out my soul before the LORD to run that race all by
ourselves. No one can run
this race for us. We cannot
choose not to run it too,
getting back is impossible. We have to run it having in mind of a
reward awaiting on our perfect completion of this race. Sometimes
we get so mixed up in the crowd that we forget that we are
individuals. If we take critical look at our background, experiences
and ambitions, we will realize that we cannot act and behave the
same as any other person would.
Elkanah loved Hannah than his other wife, Peninnah. Hannah had
all she could ever need to have a happy life. What gave her much
to think about was her inability to have children. All though they
prayed about it, Hannah came to a point where she realized that
all though Elkanah would help her in prayers, he had children by
Peninnah and was not so disturbed by Hannah’s inability to have
children. Hannah came to realize that she was the only one the
race was set before and had to run and attain the crown she
17
wanted. She went to the temple alone and decided to pour out her
heart to God. She pleaded her case and cried that the priest even
took her for a drunkard. To her, she was fighting her race alone
because she was the only one who knew how important that race
meant.
In everything we go through, friends and well-wishers may
comfort us and assure us of their support but how long will they
be there for us? They can even pray for us and do a lot of things
for us but we are the only ones who know how it feels to go
through such situations. We have to come face to face with God
and cause changes to occur in our situations.
Prayer
Father, when all hope is lost and men despise me, I am confident
of one thing that you are still standing by my side. My hope is
fixed upon you alone and I know I can patiently run the race set
before me in the name of Jesus. Amen
Jesus taught in Matthew
5:43 “ye have heard that it
hath been said, Thou shalt

hate thine enemy. But I say
unto you, Love your
enemies, bless them that
curse you, do good to
them that hate you, and
pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you”. The
master draws our attention to something we often than not miss.
He said if we love our friends and hate our enemies, we are no
better than those in the world. Those in the world also know how
to love them that love them and hate them that hate them. So what
then will signify we are the light of the world? There will virtually
be no difference between a believer and a non-believer looking on
the outside.
David had killed Goliath, saving the whole of Israel but Saul hated
him and wanted to kill him because he became a threat to his
throne. Saul pursued David but found him not. David found him
asleep and spared his life. David didn’t hate him. He loved him so
much. David stood a distance and told Saul he does not want to
kill him. Saul was moved that he even thanked him for that. It is
19
amazing how Saul finally blessed David entrusting the throne into
his care. He even went another mile to call David his son. Two bad
acts does not make a good one. When someone hit you and you
decide to hit back, it still does not take away the pain you feel in
your body so why don’t you turn the devil down by refusing to
hate?
We have no cause to hate anyone. The Bible tells us that no matter
our gifting if we have not love we are nothing. It’s okay when
people hate us. We cannot hate them in return, we should love
them instead. Maybe we have experienced an aspect of God
they have not seen yet. We have been born of a God who is love.
We are therefore children of love. The way you act is directly
proportional to your knowledge. You know more so more is
expected from you. You know of the love of God so it is prudent
to show it. Others do not know it so do not expect it of them but
even in that, give yours out.
Prayer
I love because I have been born of a God who is love. I don’t
know to hate. May I continue Lord to see the good in people and
not their errors. May I be able to treat them based on my new
life as your son and not as they will treat me so as to bring glory
to your name. Amen

My son, keep thy father's commandment, and Bible tells us in the book of

Romans that who He
foreknew He predestinat-
ed which means each one
of us was predestinated to
do a particular thing in life. Based on our mission or assignment
on earth, God brought us into the flesh through people we call
parents. The Bible asks us as children to obey our parents in the
Lord and there is a reward in obeying them. We should honor
them that our days may be long on this land.
I have heard people say insulting words to their parents, others
treating them as if they are worth nothing. Others even wish they
had different parents other than the ones they have. Parents are to
be instructors and directors in our way of life. They guide us to a
certain point and when they think we are good to continue, they
withdraw their role in our lives and watch us go. Without parental
guidance, we would live like sheep without shepherd. We would
do things that please us and fall into pits. Many are those who do
not grow up at the feet of their biological parents, nevertheless,
whoever played the parental role is worthy of his or her prize-
respect and appreciation.
21
On the other hand, friends and loved ones around us can also
help us know ourselves more. Sometimes how we are on the
inside fail to coincide with how we are when we appear outside.
It’s always nice to have people who correct you and tell you ways
of becoming better. There comes something challenging; most
people feel they have been undermined when another tells them a
flaw in their attitude or way of life. The apostle Paul in his letter to
the church of Corinthians advices and tells them our meditation of
the day. He says “For if we would judge ourselves, we should not
be judged”. That is to say if we will carefully consider ourselves
and avoid making certain mistakes, others will not even have the
chance to comment on our lives.
Let’s get to a point where we fail to see external comments as a
way to tell us our faults but as a way to help make us better. They
may all not be true about us. So when we hear such comments,
let’s sit down and analyze our lives in those aspects and see if we
fall short. Should it be so, we then look for a way to correct those
attitudes and bring ourselves to the line.
Prayer
Lord Jesus help me to see the real me. Let me see the abilities and
capabilities hidden inside me. Open my eyes that I may not make
choices and do things because people around me are doing them
too. I know I cannot be displaced if I’m in my place. Teach me to
grow and become who you want me to become. Amen
Jesus compared the
kingdom of God to
someone who lost her coin

them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, around till she found it.
and of the Holy Ghost
When she found it, she
then called all those
around her to rejoice over
her lost but found coin. This
is a similar commission we have each of us as Christians to invite
everybody around to see the coin we lost and rejoice with us.
Whenever anyone is leaving this world to the other world, they
say great secrets maybe things they have never said before. They
reveal certain things which the descendants would have to know.
Therefore when somebody is on his or her death bed, there is
someone by his side all the time to listen to the person’s last words
and take records of them. In the olden days, this was the time to
share property.
Jesus taught His disciples a lot of things when He was with them.
After the resurrection, before He ascended to the father, His words
were of great significance because He came to tell them that he has
been made Lord and all power now belong to Him and the last
27
thing He asked of them was to go through out all the world and
evangelize.
Winning souls for Christ by preaching Him is the one thing we
hear causes angels to rejoice in the Bible this is because a king’s
power is determined by the number of people under His rule. the-
As we preach Christ and we bring in more people into the king-
dom, we are making the rule of our King even greater. The Holy
Ghost came on them before they could go out to do this. This
should tell us that winning a soul isn’t something too small, it can
be described as the greatest miracle.
Speaking to a person to cause a change of will and recognize the
Lord as his Lord and savior is something great and requires
preparations. As we studied, Christ didn’t tell them it was an
option to do but it was a command asking them to go out. We also
have to apply this commands to ourselves just as we apply
blessings to ourselves and win souls for our king.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, teach me and empower me to tell people about you. Let
me know just the right time and right words to use that I may win
people for the kingdom. May I receive grace to speak about you
and may I overcome every hindrance to doing this. In Jesus’ name.
Amen

others who are unbeliev-
ers. However, they are
responsible for the overall
administration of their offices to everyone in the community. The
Bible says in (Proverbs 29:2) “When the righteous are in authority,
the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people
mourn”. We all wish all those in authority were righteous people
which would have made things easier. But what happens if they
are unbelievers? Should we support them in their job? Should we
even respect and pray for them?
First and foremost, the Bible teaches us to respect those in
authority. We have to give them our full support and help them
get success in their work. In Paul’s letter telling Timothy on how to
manage affairs, he tells him to let the church supplicate first of all
for those in authority. All the decisions of those in authority affects
not only unbelievers but believers too. Should we wake up the
next morning and there is a rule in this country that there should-
n’t be any more churches, the churches of God are not going to be
in operation. Likewise, should these leaders make certain decisions
29
that bring conflicts in this country, there wouldn’t be peace for all
of us to enjoy. Since we may not be in position to advice some of
these people, our way of doing things is through prayer because
the Holy Ghost can invade the mind of such people and cause
them to move in response to the prayer of God’s people.
In Babylon, when Nebuchadnezzar made a decree that there
shouldn’t be the worship or the mentioning of the name of any
other gods in his territory, I believe there were a lot of people who
served the Almighty God who didn’t pray. All though we hear of
Daniel praying, many didn’t and even him, it landed him in a
situation only God could save him.
Let’s also supplicate for our leaders and pray for guidance for
them in their work. They are the drivers of the truck of the society,
should they ditch the car, we are also on board.
Prayer
Thank you Lord for those you have placed as leaders in my socie-
ty. I pray that Lord you will guide them and give them all wisdom
they might need in their work. May the Holy Ghost influence them
in their decision making that your people can worship as deemed
in the name of Jesus. Amen

who instead of following
their dreams make them fall into the ocean as they try to be like
other people instead of learning from them. There is a difference
between learning from someone and desiring to be another person.
Others hate themselves and wish they have the talents others have
and ignore what they have, making their dreams die.
Joseph was inspired by the very first dream he had. Everybody
around him didn’t like his dream but no one was able to shutter
his dreams. His father even wished he kept quiet to prevent the
growing envy of his brothers towards him. No matter whatever
thing he did, he had the dream so much boiling inside him that he
failed to listen to anybody.
We shouldn’t expect everybody around us to like our dream or
motivate us into achieving it. Society or groups may limit us but
we have to be renewed in our minds and get ourselves geared

will change them forever but his disciples saw it the other way.
What they saw or asked themselves would probably be: “what
happens if these corrupt people make our master corrupt too”
We may have friends who may reject certain things we do, turn
cold towards the things of God or feel uncomfortable when we
raise such topics. Though they may hate it at first, they will like it
in the end. That reminds me of a friend. He always heard me play
a particular song, Oceans by Hillsong. All though he wasn’t
interested to learn that song, he found himself singing that song
one day and he has from then liked that song. This is the power of
influence
Instead of throwing away what we have learnt to pick corrupt
behaviors let’s hold fast our training that a constant demonstration
of them will cause those around us to fall in. Let’s be that influence
the world needs now.
Prayer
Lord help me to hold fast to my training, let me not lose what I
have learnt to pick bad ones. I want to be like the sun that cast its

Just imagine a man armed
with every weapon you

Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But
God. It looks impossible
ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes because if even his
and offerings children say “no weapon

prosper", then as for HIM,
it is not possible to form
any weapon against Him. How then can a man rob God? The
scripture is so clear on the ways we rob God. He says in tithes and
offerings. I want to focus today on tithes.
To rob someone is to take their possession as your own. We may
argue that we struggled and made our wealth so why then should
we say it’s robbing God? Tithing is a kingdom principle that begun
430 years before the coming of the law. All the patriarchs tithed.
The law brought modifications to tithing; explained the tithe and
added a curse to the failure to pay one’s tithe. Tithing is like a deal
we sign with God to give Him the tenth of our earnings because
we recognize Him as our source. By doing this, He has promised
certain things He will do in our lives. Tithing is a mystery, which
means we have still not got the full meaning of it or the benefits it
holds for us. God manifests Himself in different ways with tithes.
There are some He gives protection; others He gives possession
others He gives health etc. All because of their tithe.
35
any longer use it as we used to. When we decide to come back and
reactivate this calling, God responds us and help us to get
revitalized. We are left behind instead of walking with God in a
spiritual highway, we still find ourselves crawling in the things of
God.
In our mediation of the day, God told the Israelites what He was
going to do in their lives if they served him. He promised them
anything they could ever need in their lives for a happy living.
What else can be better than this? The earlier we answer our
calling, the faster we can grow in the things of God. Let’s not be
sluggish but smart enough to serve the Creator since serving him
is more to our advantage.
Prayer
Lord I accept the calling you have placed upon my life. I know
serving you is more needful to me than it is to you. Help me to
serve you with all diligence and get to the place you are taking me.
In the name of Jesus. Amen

calculate how much the
church was getting from the offering. He wanted his disciples to
understand that given was to be done with a pure heart and that
attracts blessing. He also wanted them to understand that God in
as much as is interested in us is also interested in what we have.
Note that the disciples didn’t sit there with Him, He sat there alone
but called them after the offering. We can picture a long queue of
people putting in their offering. The rich likewise the poor put in
their offering. Jesus observed with all keenness in order to see how
much each person offered. In the queue came this poor widow
who threw in two mites and went away.
We understand that women didn’t do any work that supported
them financially, so when their husbands die, most of them lived
in abject poverty and most of the time remained unmarried till
death. This poor widow maybe children she should be taking care
of but she brought her money which she should be living on to the
temple. In the end, Jesus was so pleased at this woman’s offering

particular aspect of life. An
individual has passion for
things he likes but it is
compassion that makes the individual intervene in a situation and
save the day.
We have heard and read of many people who have contributed
immensely to our comfortable living on this earth. It didn’t happen
that they mistakenly ended up into something they never dreamt
of. If it was so, they would have missed their discovery when they
made them. The first thing that pushed them was a need. They
were limited by certain necessities for example Alexander Graham
Bell, couldn’t reach friends afar off or away from him. That was
the problem and the need was his wanting to reach him. Other
people had the same problem but were not moved by it.
First and foremost, Graham had passion for such activities, that
was where his passion lied but it took compassion to intervene
into the situation. He had compassion on the whole human race
and seeing how they were suffering decided to ease their suffering
by inventing the telephone.
43
Jesus had passion to do the fathers will but whenever he saw the
sick folks, he was moved by compassion and He saved the day.
David’s compassion on the people of Israel caused him to develop
annoyance at the blaspheming words of Goliath and decided to
fight him. So David fought Goliath out of the compassion he had
for the armies of Israel and the whole nation
Likewise, we also have passion for a lot of things but we can’t do
them all at the same time. What ignites in us and move us tells us
we have a mission in that area. An in-depth study of the lives of
the great healing evangelists reveals that they had great
compassion on the sick folks and by venturing to pray for them,
they ended up discovering themselves and became points through
which He (God) works miracles.
Prayer
Dear Lord, guide my heart and let me have more compassion into
the areas you have called me to be. Let this compassion move me
into these areas that with my intervention, there would be hope
and an improvement in the lives of those around me, in the name
of your Holy son, Jesus. Amen
Every society has how
they consider the youthful
stage. To some, it is the
Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy stage of “enjoyment”,
youth, while the evil days come not, nor the where one has to do all
years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no

the excuse that he is in the
youthful stage. Others
have various significance
to this stage. On the contrary, this is the time our maker expects us
to actively do His work. This is the time we can actually offer our
bodies as living sacrifices to Him. The apostle Paul beseechs us to
present our bodies to Him. When the hormones are in high
concentrations that is when we can show that we love Him by
putting our bodies under control and not succumbing to the
desires of it.
Our meditation of the day calls us to remember the Lord in the
days of our youth before the evil days come. The evil days are
when we are old and our muscles are weak and we can do less
work. The kingdom of God needs men, active, young and willing
to go for the father. Whenever the father asks “who shall I send
and who shall go for us?” most often than not, the answer is a
silence.
One thing we are thought from our early stages of life is the
importance of investment. The greatest investment we can do is
45
into the kingdom of God. There aren’t losses. God is a spirit and
for the extension of His work down here, He demands people who
are willing to go all in for Him. All He needs are bodies through
which He can operate. Bodies that will permit Him to officially
intervene and move on the surface of the earth.
The latter part of the scripture says something very important and
worth taking notice of. The writer draws our attention to a point or
time where we cannot work the way we would in our youth. That
places a demand on us to redeem the time and use the time we
have wisely and intelligently. It makes no sense wasting time on
things that should be done tomorrow and neglecting things that
should be done today. Priorities need to be set right! Today the
creator is calling us, youths that what we should concentrate on
now is to remember Him. We need to realign our priorities and set
them right.
Prayer
Dear Lord and father, I thank you for your life in me. Place in me a
stronger desire even to move for you and open my eyes and
understanding to set my priorities, choosing the things of the
kingdom over the things of the world. This I pray in the name of
your son, Jesus, amen.

No man can serve two masters: for either he will fore have no connection

God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and
I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”
We can’t serve both God and the world. We have to show clearly
our stand and defend that stand we chose. Elijah asked the people
for how long would they have to be between two decisions. They
had to choose either for God or for the world. Our lights have to
shine before all men that they will see that we are a peculiar people

Father help me to be distant from the strings of this world. I’m not
of it and can therefore have no relation with it. May your grace
keep me preserved in holiness for your coming. In the name of
Jesus. Amen
Whenever anyone decides
to dedicate time and effort
The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine into a single thing, they are

Many people today have
nothing and are confused
in life because they do not know what they are best at doing.
Whatever you focus to do earns more than being vague. It is just
like a friend of many, in the end, he is a friend of none.
Many are confused in life because they have no idea of where they
want to go. They have no focus and are just walking. Anywhere
they get to becomes their destination because they aren’t sure what
they want and where they are going. You may have several
abilities and likes but there is the need to be specific and straight
forward.
The more refined you are, the more valuable you are. In the
medical field, specialists are well paid than general doctors simple
because, they have focused on one thing and they do it pretty well.
The apostle peter put his all into the ministry of Jesus because that
was all that he had. After Jesus had preached the “hard” sermon,
saying the followers should eat of his flesh and drink of his blood,
49
many left him but Peter said he had no where to go to. He put all
his attention, efforts and all into the ministry.
We all should learn this. Whatever thing we decide to do will
work out, we just should be focused and determined to hold on.
We can’t be trying it all. We have placed our trust on the solid
rock that is at Zion. We should therefore focus on following hard
after Him each day no matter what comes our way. We should not
only love God when things are going right and hate Him when
they don’t go as we expect. He doesn’t come on your highs and
leave on your lows. He’s with you as He promised, forever. Keep
your focus and know it’s going to end well. You may not see it all
but be rest assured that It’s all going to work together for your
good
Prayer
Dear father, help me to be decisive in my decision making. Give
me insight and the ability to concentrate and develop my
capabilities and abilities to the fullest to the glorification of your
name. Amen
Aside the social connotations smiles carry, Scientists have
discovered that it is healthier to smile than to frown. It’s easier to
smile than frown. The simple smile on your face can be the
medicine that someone needs for a healing. Smiling is just like
charity that pays a lot but costs nothing. People are not born with
smiles on their faces while others are born with straight faces, it a
conscious effort we take to smile at people.
I’ve seen several people dressed in their best, putting on their
makeup but forget to put on that one that pulls it all together, the
smile. The best makeup you can have on your face is your smile. It
easily establishes connections between you and other people for
which reason you need to put on smiles all the time. Many
Christians have the attitude of smiling at church and behaving to
members of their church with a lot of love but the very moment
they exit the church environment, it´s a total different story. We
make our faces as if everyone is against us.
Do you remember how easy it was to approach somebody when
you needed help because of a simple smile you saw on his or her
face? Smiles are Gods ways to put us together. Action they say
speaks louder than words. Smiles speaks a great deal of us and
someone with a good study of personality would always want to
employ people who carry smiles and radiate love.
Look through your pictures and compare the ones you smiled to
the other one you didn’t and tell for yourself, in which one of the

Prayer
Thank you Lord for this day. I may go through personal situations
but I choose to smile at those I meet. I may go through hard times
but I choose to carry a healing smile to those I meet. Thank you
for this great gift of love. In Jesus name. Amen
I wish I could tell the
number of orphans and
people living on the streets
And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace
of them that make peace.
finding it difficult to get
what they will eat just
because a parent refused
to say, “I’m sorry”. What is
the difficulty in saying I am
sorry? The Bible calls us the peacemakers. We have to for this
reason employ every method we know in other to bring peace.
One of the most effective and easy way of bringing peace is saying
“I am sorry”.
When everyone feels they are right and the other offended them, a
simple “I am sorry” from one of them, easily resolves the issue and
prevents a tribal war or a generational interfamilial conflict. We
are not weak if we always accept to be the ones saying “I am
sorry” all the time, we are just being who we were made to be,
peacemakers. Because we are peacemakers, we do not only have to
say I am sorry when we are wrong but even when the other person
is.
A number of relationships couldn’t work out because there was a
hitch. Difficult times would always come irrespective of who you
are but the strength is your ability to overcome them. Sometimes
53
all the other person is expecting is a simple “I’m sorry” and once it
doesn’t come, it starts drilling a hole in their heart. Be quick to say
I’m sorry and don’t delay it, the quicker you say it, the better your
chances of fixing errors.
Many people will not want to say they are sorry for something
they have done because of pride even when they know that they
are wrong but do you realise that you do yourself a great favour
and become so proud of yourself when you are the one always
making peace?
The next time you pick up a situation with another person and you
don’t know how to settle it, try saying “I’m sorry” you will be
saving the situation from getting ugly and you can have your
friend back. Let those around you see a forgiving heart and a
peaceful nature established in you.
Peacemakers aren’t weak people. They are actually those the
world needs now.
Prayer
Lord there are times I find it difficult to say sorry because I have
thought the other person did not deserve it from me. Teach me to
be peace loving and to be humble that I can and will always be the
one making and bringing peace to the world around me. In Jesus
name. Amen
God wants us to proclaim
Him before men. He wants
all men to come into
Let your light so shine before men, that they
knowledge of Him, not
may see your good works, and glorify your Fa- wanting to be hidden only
ther which is in heaven in our hearts
I remember a simple joke I
heard. A pastor once
preached a sermon on
being a soldier for Christ. After the message, he approached a
young man who he had seen less frequently at church and asked
him “are you a soldier of the Lord?”. The young man proudly
looked at his face and said yes but I belong to the secret service.
That may sound funny and you may consider it as just a joke but
there are many of us Christians who would give a similar answer
should we be asked. We find it very hard to tell men about our
faith. People are proud to make others know of their parents and
relatives if they have done great things or are popular. We
likewise also tell of our God if we are not ashamed of Him. The
apostle Paul boldly declares he is not ashamed of the gospel
because it is the power of God to salvation.
Men will glorify our father based on what they see inside us. If we
decide to keep God only inside us, there are some who will never
55
get to know our God and give Him glory because we decided not
to make our God known to men.
We have been ordained to the praise of His glory. The world is in
fact supposed to see Him through us. The idea and perception the
world gets about God is what we carry to it. Either the world is
attracted to our God or repelled from Him all depends on us. We
have to openly make our lives depict His goodness that all men
would want to have that fellowship with Him.
Take every opportunity you have to make people know of the
kingdom that has saved you and show men your light, that they
may all come to this great light and give glory to God.
Prayer
I will not deny you before men, Lord; I want to make all men come
to your light. I will not deny you before men but I will show forth
the good works you have placed in me that they might come to the
knowledge of you through me. Amen
One of the parables of
Jesus I enjoy a lot is that of
the ten virgins. It contains
a lot of lessons I believe
And five of them were wise, and five were fool- everyone should see. I
ish
want to share a few with
you today. The basic
qualification any of these
women needed to meet the
bridegroom was their virginity. That was easy and I belief they
were all beautiful. But what was going to strike the difference was
an intrinsic quality. The Bible says explicitly that five were wise
and five were foolish. Which one of these two groups would we
join?
I know you just said you will join the wise ones. That’s very great.
Many are the times we do things in haste and forget to assess
programs, evaluate them and see which ones we should venture in
and what would be the possible preparations we would need to
make. The foolish ones saw the wise ones get oil, but they did not
see the importance of it until they came in need of it in the end.
The wise referred them back to the sellers because they saw where
it was sold. They returned to get oil but the door was shut when
they returned.
Many opportunities my not come our way in this life but we
should be prepared to fully utilize every one of them that falls on
57
our path. They paid dearly for their lack of preparations and they
could not see the bridegroom. It is just like a student who goes to
an examination with a pencil and its gets broken. If he had
planned, he could have thought of the need of an extra one in case
the first gets broken. Think your journey through and plan
thoroughly to see what you will need for your journey. There isn’t
any word in the dictionary like over preparing but there is
something called underprepared. It’s okay to “over prepare” and
later bring surplus home than underprepare and face the
consequences along the line.
Likewise, we cannot be myopic; we should see beyond the reach
of others and prepare adequately for the future, which is
inevitable. It would be foolish to say, “I wish I knew”
Prayer
Lord, please give me great insight into things and projects. My
sight is limited and my understanding is shallow. You know the
path ahead; guide me to make just the right decisions. In the name
of Jesus. Amen
Secrets are what make
anyone dangerous. The
word of God says we are
like the wind, no man
But Mary kept all these things, and pondered
them in her heart. knows from where it
proceeds and to where it
goes, you just feel it. That
is a secret. Many people do
not have secrets, finding it difficult to know what is meant for
them alone and what is meant for public discussion. We open our
hearts to the whole world and they know all the prophecies and
plans ahead. This shouldn’t be so. Certain things might be our
confession, others may be challenges we want others to know and
help us overcome but there should still be secrets.
We are prophets of our lives and speak things into our lives to see
them manifest. We should learn to discern what we should ponder
upon in our hearts and what we can consult about. Have you ever
thought of why God gave man two ears and a mouth? We should
hear more and speak less. The Word of God advises us to be quick
to hear and slow to speak. Many speak many things when they are
emotional, annoyed or happy.
When you are emotional, you just pour out your heart and in the
59
end don’t even know what you have said. You only realize it when
the same words you spoke are used against you.
Don’t think anyone who hears your sweet story is waiting to
rejoice with you. Speak less and speak positive. Season your words
with salt and preserve your life.
Samson was overjoyed with Delilah and revealed his secrets.
Joseph out of excitement revealed his secret dreams to his siblings
thinking they will rejoice with him but they did not. Mary could
have gone about telling people she was the one chosen to carry the
savior, maybe she would have posted them on social media, in to-
day´s world but she kept it and pondered on them in her heart.
We try very hard to keep certain things as secrets but when we get
annoyed, excited or emotional about something, we reveal all the
secrets we ought not to. Can’t we just decide to be quick to hear
and slow to speak?
Prayer
Father, please help me by the power of your Holy Spirit to discern
what I can discuss with others and who I can and at what time.
Let me not reveal great secrets you have planned about me into
wrong ears. Help me to hold my peace even when I get emotional
because my secret is my power. Amen
We cannot choose those
who form our family but
Then said Zeresh his wife and all his friends un-
fortunately for us we can
to him, Let a gallows be made of fifty cubits
high, and to morrow speak thou unto the king
choose our friends. All
that Mordecai may be hanged thereon: then go though we have the chance
thou in merrily with the king unto the banquet. to choose our company,
And the thing pleased Haman; and he caused the many of us do not choose
gallows to be made our company; we are
chosen. It´s okay to be
chosen but if it’s the wrong company you have the option of
bulging out. You cannot be stuck into a company you do not want
to be in. They are not family.
There is a saying that you show me your friend and I will show
you your character. I can tell you your character based on that of
your friends. I used to think that was not true because I had
friends who had certain qualities I did not like. I felt we can still be
friends and be separated in that respect but I got to a point where
ideas about that which I hated started entering my head inspiring
me to do the same. thank God He held me strong.
We spoke a little about this on the power of influence. Learning
isn’t done in a day. It is the gradual accumulation of knowledge
over a long period of time. It´s just like filling a barrel with drops
of water. It takes only one drops to make it overflow. It’s a little
here and a little there but long before you realise, there would be
an overflow and your life and those around would be in unison.

to make the right connections that I can enjoy of the power that
