Some states such as Colorado are working on policies and regulatory measures on
marijuana. Legalizing marijuana has been a contentious issue that has attracted a lot of debates
among scholars and experts. Many states in the U.S have had discussions on legalizing
marijuana. For instance, in Colorado the government authorities are tasked with issuance of
license and establishing policies on legalizing marijuana (Kamin, 2017). However there have

under the influence of marihuana (Kahan & Srivastava, 2014). Moreover, the users when under
influence sat work may injure themselves or even other people. So, the social effect of
marihuana to its users is substantial enough to make the government ban the use of marihuana.
Another effect of marihuana that makes it illegal to be legitimized is the fact that it
jeopardizes young people. It is unfortunately to see the society misleads its young population. By
legaliz9ng it implies that even the young people are allowed to use it (Kim, Hwang, & Berry,

given their time sand space by illegalizing the use of marijuana. Moreover, the trailers will even

become abused in the society. The uses will become unproductive, they do not want to look for
work or they abandon their duties. Therefore, they will not be able to support their families I not
themselves. Also, legalizing marihuana will mean that the government will spend extra income t,
taxes to open up many facilities for rehabilitation. This is due to the fact that many people will be
become addictive and hence helpless (Kahan & Srivastava, 2014). They will need rehabilitated
so that they can become useful members of the society again. Also, when accident occurs
because of the influence of marijuana, it is the government that will feel the effects so much

essential to have a healthy society. The society with productive and responsible citizens will
likely prosper. Legalizing marihuana will dent this spirit of responsible nation that seek to realize
