How to kill our planet

In the last decade the environmental indicators have been raising faster than ever, those
indicators tell us what it is happening with the environmental issues every moment,
because it became complex and very difficult to measure the environmental issues
without using math and statistics. That is the reason why we use, for example,
concentrations of ozone depleting substances (ODS) in the atmosphere, tracked over time.
This is why we have to take control of our actions to stop this damage to the planet.

In 2017, deforestation increased a 51% globally. That means 29.7 million hectares were lost
that year, because of different reasons, forest fire, agriculture, logging and mining, who find in
the woods an obstacle to increase profits and expansion. This, in aggregation to inability
politics, corruption, and illegality, governments are not able yet to fight deforestation.

In the last few years the WHO has advertising all the world about the consequences about air
pollution, they say ‘It is the new tabaco’. Approximately 97% of the global population is
breathing contaminated air. The main source of pollution is industries, others are agriculture,
home, transport. This is not just a health problem, It is an environmental problem too, because
other animals are affected and it helps the global warming.

There are many other environmental indicators that tell us the world is getting worse every year,
but all these are helping this one: global warming. This is consequence of the already
mentioned and others. This are the latest changes we are seeing in the global weather, hottest
and coldest temperatures, storms, tornadoes, loss of poles. The first month of 2020 has been
the hottest month since 1880 in land as in oceans. All of this consequences of global warming
means danger of extinction of thousands of animals, and plants that depends of specifics
weather to live. We are talking about human lives as well as a consequence.

It is obvious that we should do something, but what to do? Some years ago, population have
been changing their lifestyle in a more green way, but we have not see a improvement yet.
This means that governments and industries have the real power of the situation. There are 2
ways we can make our planet die, with election, and being careful of our consumption. If we
choose correctly our leaders, not thinking about the environment more than in economy or
other things it will be very helpful. And finally if we made a better consumption, the companies
will be obligated to increase their uses of plastics, emissions of warming gases, and other
things that will let us without planet earlier.
