YOUR ROLE AS A
STUDENT IN THE SOCIETY
 As a student everybody has a special rights and responsibilities and it is necessary that I

must carry out these duties honestly. I have also special part on this society I am young,

energetic, smart. So, I can achieve a lot of thing in our society. For me as a student the most

important thing that I can do for now is to work hard, study hard and continue dreaming to

make my parents proud. I am studying not only to myself, but also to help our society. For now,

I am a freshmen student on Laguna University who take the course of BSIT Bachelor of Science

and Technology. I am starting now to gain a knowledge about the path that I choose so that

maybe one day in the future if I really master on how to program, how to handle and used any

kind of technology. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) Program aims to

produce students whose knowledge and competence in planning, installing, customizing,

operating, managing, administering, and maintaining information technology infrastructure are

grounded on the effective utilization of computers and computer software and thus enabling

them to contribute worthwhile IT solutions to the business communities all over the world It

provides the student with the knowledge to successfully apply information technology theory

and principles to address real world business opportunities and challenges.

The one of the primary educational objectives of the program is produce graduates who

can enter into and advance in the professions of IT, management information systems, and IT

business infrastructure, as well as continue their education and obtain advanced degrees in

these and related fields. With regard to program outcomes, graduates must be able to evaluate

current and emerging technologies identify user needs design user-friendly interfaces apply,

configure, and manage these technologies assess their impacts on individuals, organizations,

and the environment, apply fundamental business concepts and strategies and use innovative
digital materials to develop competencies to apply Systems Analysis and Design, Computer

Programming, Database Development, Network Technologies, Information Systems Security,

Web Technologies and Project Planning. I will use that opportunity to show in the other

Country that even if I am Pilipino citizen, I can also do what they can do. I will be also a role

model for the next generation who have a dream like me. I can be also their mentor in any kind

of situation. Aside from that as a student I have a responsibility to keep clean our surroundings

and tell to others to help in any kind of social welfare program who help the community to be

cleaned and organized. Student can play an extensive part for cleaning their surroundings. They

can clean their environment, surrounding roads and other places in order to avoid garbage

collection, now a day many student organizations are working on it they are doing on their own.

As a student I also persuade people to use Reusable Bags. Plastic grocery-type bags that get

thrown out end up in lakes and landfills or in other parts of the environment. Recycling is such a

simple thing to do, but so many people don't do it. Save Electricity! Use energy-efficient light

bulbs instead of regular bulbs. Save the water in all of the matter, Walk or cycle just to avoid in

pollution.
