The logic solenoid valve is located to the left of the high pressure distribution block and is supplied with high pressure
oil from the main pumps. The function of the logic solenoid valve is to open or close the relevant logic valve.

The function of logic control is to ensure that the travel function has priority over the working equipment no matter if the
machine is in twin or single engine operation.

With the machine in twin engine operation and L/H engine operation, the solenoid valve is de-energised, and in R/H
engine operation, the solenoid valve is energised.

Logic: Twin Engine Operation Service Training

Logic solenoid valve Y120 is De- energized, logic valves C & D closed.

High pressure oil from the 4 main pumps enters the high pressure distribution block. Some oil is bleed off and supplies the
logic solenoid valves. With both engines running logic solenoid valve Y120 is de -energized and high pressure oil is used
to hold logic valves C & D closed.

Oil from main pump P1 sits against its primary relief valve and logic valve C which has equal pressure on the opposite side
and will remain closed, the oil passes through the high pressure filter and to the R/H travel valve if it is not required for travel
it will pass through the travel valve and on to the R/H main control valve.

Oil from main pump P2 sits against its primary relief valve and logic valve D which also has equal pressure on the opposite
side and will remain closed, the oil passes through the high pressure filter and to the L/H travel valve if it is not required for
travel it will pass through the travel valve and on to the L/H main control valve.

Oil from main pump P3 sits against its primary relief valve, also logic valve C which is held closed and logic valve A.
Logic valve A is lifted from its seat by the high pressure from P3 and the oil passes through the high pressure filter
then on to join P1 at the R/H main control valve.

Oil from main pump P4 sits against its primary relief valve, also logic valve D which is held closed and logic valve B.
Logic valve B is lifted from its seat by the high pressure from P4 and the oil passes through the high pressure filter
Then on to Join P2 at the L/H main control valve.

Logic solenoid valves Y120 is De-energized. Logic valves C & D are closed.

High pressure oil from main pumps P1 & P2 only enters the high pressure distribution block. Some oil is bleed off and
supplies the logic solenoid valves. With the left engine running logic solenoid valve Y120 is De -energized and high pressure
oil is used to hold logic valves C & D closed.

Oil from main pump P1 sits against its primary relief valve and logic valve C which has equal pressure on the opposite side
and will remain closed, the oil passes through the high pressure filter and to the R/H travel valve if it is not required for travel it
will pass through the travel valve and on to the R/H main control valve.

Oil from main pump P2 sits against its primary relief valve and logic valve D which also has equal pressure on the opposite
side and will remain closed, the oil passes through the high pressure filter and to the L/H travel valve if it is not required for
travel it will pass through the travel valve and on to the L/H main control valve.

Travel still has priority as the oil from the main pumps must pass through the travel valves first before it can flow through to
the main control valves. The operator will not be able to operated the travel function and the working equipment at the
simultaneously as all the oil will be directed to travel. Travel has priority.

Logic solenoid valve Y120 is energized, logic valves A & B are closed.

High pressure oil from main pumps P3 & P4 only enters the high pressure distribution block. Some oil is bleed off and
supplies the logic solenoid valves. With the right engine running logic solenoid valve Y32 is energized and high pressure oil is
used to hold logic valves A & B closed.

Oil from main pump P3 sits against its primary relief valve and logic valve A which has equal pressure on the opposite side
and will remain closed. It also lifts logic valve C oil passes through the high pressure filter and to the R/H travel valve if it is
not required for travel it will pass through the travel valve and on to the R/H main control valve.

Oil from main pump P4 sits against its primary relief valve and logic valve B which also has equal pressure on the opposite
side and will remain closed. It also lifts logic valve D oil passes through the high pressure filter and to the L/H travel valve if it
is not required for travel it will pass through the travel valve and on to the L/H main control valve.

Travel still has priority as the oil from the main pumps must pass through the travel valves first before it can flow through to
the main control valves. The operator will not be able to operated the travel function and the working equipment at the
simultaneously as all the oil will be directed to travel. Travel has priority.

Note that with right engine running only it is possible to set all four primary relief valves.
