Narrative Report

February 03, 2020 was the day of our deployment for our out campus teacher
internship. It started at around 1:00 in the afternoon, we were seven students that was
assign at Palo National High School for the remaining days in our teacher internship.
When we arrive at Palo National High School we were each assign with to our respective
cooperating teacher that will help guide us during our practice teaching internship. I
was assign to Mr. Richard G. Dico, he is been teaching Grade 8 with the subject of
“Front Office” and Grade 9 with the subject of “Agriculture”. He just told me that I will
be assign to teach on his Grade 8 students so he gave me the Curriculum Guide for the
said subject and told me that I will start tomorrow so after that I started to work on my
lesson plan for the said topic. It was a bit difficult because due to there is no books to be
used for research Sir Dico just gave a compiled topic about Front Office. So after the said
introduction he gave me time to make may lesson plan for tomorrow that day of course
it was a bit difficult because I was not that familiar of the topic so it took me a time to
came up an activity and follow up question.

For the first week of my teaching in Palo National High School I was assign on
Grade 8 Topaz and Sapphire with the subject on Front Office. The first topic that I teach
them was all about the Types of Accommodation in the Hotel Industry I was really
nervous of course because when I first observe my class there were some students who is
noisy and always makes excuses to go out in the middle of a lesson. But when I started
to discussing my lesson my students did lessen on the topic and also participate on the
activity but of course there were some student if I called then to answer a question they
answer in low voice or shy in answering. For the second topic I discuss to them was
about Telephone Call Receiving Procedure were I let then have a role playing activity
were they act out on their idea on how to handle phone calls if you assign in a Front
Desk. It was very entertaining because there different idea in portraying the activity.

On the second week of my internship was a bit difficult due to because there were
time that I will not teach of Sir Dico advisory class due to they need to practice for a
practical performance for a certain subject, but I still teach on the Grade 8 Sapphire as
normal but there was I certain day that I will just copy about our next topic so that the
other section will not be left behind o our discussion. But this I was getting use of the
schedule given to me.

By the third week of my internship there was a time I give another role playing
activity and I observe that there are students who is interested on the said activity some
student was pretty serious so that they will receive ha higher grade. I also observe that
their students does not lessen when I discuss to them mostly they keep asking if there
are allowed to go out just to go to the comfort room it was kind of annoying but just got
used to it.

By the forth wee I just continue my discussion every day and after every lesson I
just prepare for tomorrow discuss but this week was I bit different because that week the
campaign start for the election of SSG it was kind of interesting on how they speaks to
student so that they vote for them.

By the last week of our internship that when our final demo was schedule I was
very stress on my preparation due to I need to work before that because I need the
money to use for the material that I will be needed in my final demo so after the day of
our final demo I got sick because I did not sleep properly during that time and after that
I did not return to my cooperating teacher because of the COVID-19 outbreak. That’s
conclude all that happened during my internship in Palo National High School. It’s a bit
short because most of what happened I forgotten it.
