MODULE 1

We all make choices everyday, from the food that we eat to the clothes. There are of
course more difficult choices to make. For this morning, your task, as groups per table is to
select a representative to come here in front to present your output.

“My Entry Point in the Exit”

Now that our SHS learners are about to exit in high school, their choices on what to do
after graduation will spell for their life success. They need to be reminded that they have to
consider the critical factors that will determine to a large extent of their fulfilment in their
careers.

This module presents a comprehensive review of the factors to consider in the career
choices formulation and in deciding for the curriculum exits. It also provides information on the
pertinent requirements for each of these exits.

The module also makes learners appreciate the expected results of their decisions in
relation to their life, career and curriculum exits.

sAs teachers, we owe to our learners and to the future to guide our learners in making
informed choices that will not only open for them opportunities, but for them to be the
creators of life and career possibilities. With God’s divine guidance and providence, we shall
continue to serve Para sa Kabataan, Para sa Bayan.

MODULE 2

 Teacher still provides direct guidance as to the skills that need to be acquired of the
learners therefore Application of the learning is emphasized which there is a need to
take a more general approach and teach them the skills that are useful in any situation.

 Because Academic achievement is important for the successful development of young

people in society. Students who do well in school are better able to make the transition
into adulthood and to achieve occupational and economic success.

 On the other hand, given the specialization required for many jobs these days, young
people who are entering the job market do need a substantial base of knowledge and,
in many cases, specialized skills.
 On this module, we will be working together in providing the learners an avenue in
seeing life and career in a wider angle.
 Like what we have just done in the previous activity, we will be providing the learners
relevant information for them to discover necessary facts in achieving their goals, which
will encourage them to strive harder under their respective strands and tracks
consequently, improving their academic standing.

 We will also help the learners to identify the 7 C’s of Lifelong Skills that will prepare
them to meet both the occupational changes and changing individual needs associated
with life and career.

MAIN ACTIVITY “LABOR MARKET CAROUSEL“

SAY:

 Our learners need to make informed decisions as they prepare for career and vocation.
With so many industries and jobs available, it is easy to be overwhelmed and wonder
where to start. In this activity, they will be given a chance to look into the industries and
jobs available in their community juxtaposed the needed skills to succeed in those fields.
This activity will help them plan and set goals based on the wide range of profession and
vocation available in their community.

 To provide more information and make the activity more interesting to the learners, you
can add information to each station by doing extra research regarding emerging
industries, KEGs, potential jobs, high paying jobs, and hard to fill jobs on your region.

 The changing nature of work, the five global trends affecting the global workforce, and
lifelong learning will be discussed prior to the seven 21 st century lifelong skills to
promote a better understanding and appreciation for the students.

MODULE 3

Career decision making starts from knowing oneself really well. Consideration of several
aspects/factors may change the decision depending on the uniqueness of situations. However,
many of its decisions can be pursued directly and some may need “re-routing” but are still
possible to achieve. Emotional connections to their chosen career must be present which will
serve as their driving force towards attaining their goal amidst all hindrances.

This session provided a wider self-perspective by exploring their chosen profession and
its connection to academic achievement, realities of life and the unique situation of every
learner.
MODULE 4

As the old-aged saying connotes, your role as a teacher is to open doors of possibilities for the
learners under your care. But you must also accept the fact that you cannot let them trudged
the path you want them to take. You cannot decide on their behalf. You cannot force them to
chew the chunks of information you served them. Be as it may, you have a crucial role in
preparing your learners to pack their individual bags to take their own journey towards the
realization of what they envisioned to become.

 Familiarizing one’s self with different requirements of the module and its relationship to the
other modules will enable us to visualize what kind of learners we are going to produce at the
end of the semester.
 How will this module strengthen the concepts previously learned and how will it prepare
the learners for the next learning episodes?
 One of the concrete evidence that could affirm these are the different products produced by
the learners on the course of this module. In other words Output-based Learning.
 The knowledge of the different content and activities included in the module would lead
to a more successful learning experience on the part of the learners.
 The different strategies or alternative delivery modes would also help in the successful
use of the module inside the classroom.

 Having been aware of the different features of the module and the different delivery modes, it
would be fitting that one should be able to have a bird’s eye view of how it should be used
inside the classroom.
 For the purpose of clarity present the lecturette found in the Infobits.
