How to initialize the I/P Positioner for FDF damper controller

Change control mode to manual by

pressing the hand symbol key
briefly.

Press the “ - “ or “ + ” symbol in

order to closed the damper
manually, mainly the “ - “ symbol
is used for close the damper but in
case the parameter of No.7, No.38
are set for “FALL” then “ +
“ symbol is used for close.

When damper is fully closed, then

carefully turn the “Adjusting wheel
slip clutch” left or right side in order
to set the zero position and position
on LCD to “0”,

Press the “ - “ or “ + ” symbol in

order to open the damper, mainly
the “ + “ symbol is used for open the
damper but in case the parameter of
No.7, No.38 are set for “FALL”
then “ - “ symbol is used for open.

When damper is fully open, then

carefully turn the “Adjusting wheel
slip clutch” left or right side in order
to set the span position and position
on LCD to “100”

Call the configuration mode by

pressing the hand symbol key about
5sec from normal operation mode.

Now configuration mode is appear on

the display, and it shown parameter
list
Switch to the parameter for
initialization (4 INITA) by pressing
the hand symbol briefly three times.

Start the initialisation (“4.INITA”) by

pressing the “ + ” key for longer than
5 seconds

During initialization phase “RUN1”

to “RUN5” appear one after another
in the bottom of the display, and
during initialization the micro
controller will automatically
determines the zero, full-scale and
positioning speed and so on.

If problems occur, carry out the

messages” shown in instruction
manual.
The initialization is completed when
“FINSH” appears
For exit initialization mode press
hand symbol briefly.

Now unit is back to configuration

mode.
To exit the configuration mode, press
the hand symbol key for longer than
5sec, and the software version is
displayed after 5sec.

Now unit is back to operation mode,

but it will remain in the manual
mode, and this mode operator can
open and close the damper by
pressing the “-“ or “+”key.
The positioner can be changed to
auto mode by pressing hand symbol
key briefly

Now unit is in auto mode and this

mode is the normal operation mode,
and the positioner compares the set
point with the current position and
moves the actuator unit the control
deviation reaches the dead zone.
