1. In the developing world, how can small-scale and medium-scale industries
leverage the power of supply chains to deliver value to the customers and
simultaneously improve the standard of living of the artisans?
Effective Supply Chain Management:
• Good supplier management who are more worth will not have the good supply
chain management when there is a no synchronous effort is not taken in the point
of managing and delivering products to customers.
• So there must Cost effective supply chain management methodology approach
should be developed at a manufacturing operation needed to better manage its
chain of supplied which would result in the reducing overall costs and improving
customer satisfaction levels towards the company.
• Then it has to be implemented the above methodology in all of its division
making sure that in practice the good supply chain management is followed.
• Due this implementation good supply chain management helped them to identify
the area of improvement in the manufacturing unit and delivery units where the
products are delivered. Thus, resulted in the pressuring the profit margins in the
market from the competitors.
• This also led to the improvement in the team work and co-ordination between the
employees who work under the different department with various functions and
geography.
• Therefore, we can use the responsive strategy for the supply chain in the
manufacturing areas where it will help the industry to meet the needs and demands
of the customer which will increase the performance at lower prices.
• The more instances of multiple manufacturing where several independent units
are involved in the production and delivery process. The cutting the marketing
channels will increase the pressure on the company to provide exceptional
customer service which include the quick and reliable delivery.
• The decision on the responsive supply chain must be focused on the lower costs.
A decision must be made on the location and capacity of each facility and whether
it will be dedicated or flexible in terms of the products it produces and market it
serves.
• The goal is reached when making the above decisions is to maximize the supply
chain surplus.

through direct relationship with the weaver.
• The minimization of the middleman usually creates a win-win for the seller and
buyer in the money perspective where each step in the traditional distribution
process involves a trade buyer adding a mark-up to the costs.
• Increases the efficiency significantly when we skip middle man in the distribution
channel will lead to the reduction in the amount of logistics and transportation that
are required in the movement of goods from artisan and will eliminate the
underpayment.
• Response time on special orders will be delivered in more efficient become as
companies have eliminated middle man steps in the distribution process. This
increases customer satisfaction and revenue.
• Fair trading can be committed which will strength the partnerships between
buyers and producers. This will provide an opportunity for buyers to purchase
quality products from people they trust, and offer a sustainable and reliable way for
the right amount paid to them.
• Fair Trade businesses can be carried out by working respectfully and
collaboratively with the community members, to guarantee the social, economic,
and environmental well-being of the communities.
• An indirect benefit of eliminating the middleman, which some companies
promote actively, is better environmental preservation. By minimizing the number
of trucks and travel time moving products from one step to the next, you reduce the
pollutants in the air.
• The primary motive to eliminate the middle man between the buyer and sell is to
save money. Manufacturer’s today sell directly to consumers thanks to Internet
expansion is now a days widely used.
• By removing the middleman's activities, you can offer the customer a lower price
while getting higher gross profits for yourself and will not be exploit to the
underpayment issues.
• By choosing Fair Trade products, you are not only accessing high quality
