version 0.3.1-novembre 2018 1
Introduction : Notes :
Important : Nanodlp will not be used to drive the Bean ! Just to slice the .Stl files.

Because the slicer provided by Kudo does not currently support «complex» files, we will use Nanodlp’s Slicer module.

First, «1-Prerequisites : download & install Nanodlp» : download and install Nanodlp !

In «2-Setup» step, we will create a virtual printer with Nanodlp : set screen resolution (x and y) to create images with
Bean-specific sizes and resolution.

In «3-Resin Adjustment» step, we will set slicing resolution of the Z axis, activate or deactivate the antialiasing....

In «4-Slicing a stl file» step, we will slice an.stl file with NanoDlp.

In «5-Printing from Bean» Print :.

version 0.3.1-novembre 2018 13

Last modification before sending the «plate.zip» file to Bean : Notes :
Indeed, Nanodlp doesn’t correctly name the .png files for Bean !
So rename the files is necessary to be read correctly by the Bean.
Here is an example :
A stl file has been sliced with Nanodlp into 1000 png images.
In the.zip archive, Nanodlp will name them as such:
1.png
2.png
3.png
....
10.png
11.png
...
100.png
...
999.png
1000.png

For Bean, the files must be named as follows:

0001.png
0002.png
0003.png Tips :
....
0010.png You could use "total
0011.png commander" to quickly
... rename these files...
0100.png
...
0999.png
1000.png

So just unzip «plate.zip» in a folder.

Rename the files as explained before
Create a new zip archive containing these renamed files.

Note : now you could rename «plate.zip» if you want

example : just an example.zip

version 0.3.1-novembre 2018 14

4-Printing from Bean Notes :

2 «just an example.zip» appears in the file list
3 click on open folder icon
4 check informations here (model file, number sliced image...)
5 select your material «resin»
6a check slice thickness : 50µ=0.05mm : see Nanodlps’ parameters «layer thickness» of this tutorial (p8)
-->6b check curing parameters if you change thickness (modify «Advanced Settings parameters)
7 Print !
