Parent Contract

I, , commit to honor the following:

Parent Actions
❏ Display Christlike character at all times. (see Matthew 5:312 for Beatitudes)
❏ Model for your student how to treat others with love and respect, even in adversity.
❏ Honor Teacher’s disciplinary decisions, especially in front of and to your student. Strife causes dissension;
we need to be of one accord. Contact the teacher or administrator privately, if there is a problem or a
decision you disagree with.
Parent Communication
❏ Check for and respond to all teacher communication daily; this includes Renweb, emails, and phone calls.
❏ Communicate promptly with appropriate staff member as needed.
(classroom concerns – first teacher, then if unresolved admin; general school concerns – admin)
❏ Check Renweb at least weekly for student’s grades; report cards are only emailed at the end of the semester.
❏ Contact the school per policy for absences and tardies.
❏ Keep all contact information updated on your family's online profile. (i.e. email, address, emergency pick ups)
Parental Partnership with MRA
❏ Plan accordingly to have your student to school early so they can arrive on time and be ready for class.
(students are expected to be seated with supplies & home assignments out BEFORE the start of class time)
❏ Train your student on how to be prepared for each class. This includes having all supplies, completed at
home assignments, and books ready and brought to school, as well as being organized during school.
❏ Check to see if your student has their planner, at home assignment folder, lunch box and ID card before
leaving for school each school day. Replacements for planners, folders and ID cards are $5 each.
❏ Honor the NO electronics policy.
(The only exceptions are while in study hall, an MP3 player can be used quietly, or when specified by staff.)
❏ Pick up my student on time from school each day, making sure that they have all of their belongings,
including lunch boxes, jackets, art work projects, science projects, etc.
❏ Check your student’s planner & at home assignment folder each dayfor assignments and discipline notes.
❏ Monitor and help as appropriate so that your student completes all at home assignments on time as
instructed, and assist in contacting their teacher for help when needed PRIOR to the assignment being due.
(Monitor take home tests with honesty; ONLY sign off and return when you have monitored the test.)
❏ Adhere to MRA Family Handbook Policies at all times.
