MY AIMS IN DOING RESEARCH IN JAIMINI CHARA DASHA

KN Rao

I must explain that I had been giving excellent predictions through Vimshottari dasha and vargas
which late Shehadri mentioned in his books but which I popularised on a large scale.

But I had to use Chara dasha

d asha and many other dashas
dash as of Jaimini out of sheer necessity and
demand. The reasons are:

1. During my service career I was posted in S hillong (1962-63) when I met many Bengalis who
had lost their birth horoscopes when they
the y were fleeing from what then was East Pakistan.

2. Then I had two postings in Calcutta (1967 to 1969 and again from 1975 to 1978 when again I
met many Bengalis who had lost their birth horoscopes when they were fleeing from what then
was East Pakistan.

3. From 1978 till my retirement in 1990, I met many Punjabis and Haryanvis and an d Delhites who
were either refugees who had lost their horoscopes while fleeing from West Pakistan at the time
of the partition of India in 1947 or had Arya Samaj background and never got their horoscopes
prepared. When they felt the need to have astrological readings, some of them came to me and I
found out that if I fixed their lagnas properly
prop erly on the basis of the scanty information the y
provided, without fixing the degrees of the lagna, I could give them helpful predictions on the
basis of Chara dasha and seven, and only seven karakas.

I also found that being a government officer with ten to five office hours, I was alwa ys short of
time and I needed accurate Vimshottari dasha after correcting the birth time which is wrong in
ninety percent times. I solved my problem by heavily relying on Chara dasha and Karakas and
double checked it with Vimshottari dasha without using varg as in most cases and gave good
predictions though some went wrong awfully also.

In those cases where I had accurate horoscopes, I used both dashas and even some conditional
dashas on which I did lot of research but have left it to my colleagues in the Astrology Faculty of
the Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan. In these cases I invariably used divisional charts most of
which,(leaving some) I have revealed in my books. Let me talk about ECMD
ECMD..

MY AIMS IN DOING RESEARCH IN JAIMINI CHARA DASHA

KN Rao

Keeping this background in the mind follow my discussion of the horoscopes under ECMCD or
Education, Career, Marriage, Children and Death.

Follow my line of reasoning by preparing charts in which all birth horososcopes are:
1) Marked with karakas.
2) Mark the Karakamsha (KL) alongwith the Atmakaraka also in the lagna.
3) Mark the putrakaraka (PK)
4) Mark the darakaraka and also the darakaraka navamsha in the birth horoscope. (DKN) and
note the dual use I make of it for marriage and also death.
5) Mark the upapada in the birth horoscope.

Computing the Chara dasha periods

In calculating the periods I neither add one
on e extra year for exalted planet
p lanet nor deduct one extra for
debilitated period for the following reasons:
1) Since there are only twelve rashis, so the maximum dasha period can be of twelve years only.
If Mercury is at two degrees in Kanya,by
Kan ya,by adding one year to full twelve year period it will
 become thirteen.
2) If Jupiter is at two degrees in Makara, for the Dhanu period the period will beb e zero which
appears absurd to me as no rashi can have zero period. Additionally, Dhanu periods are known
for rise and fall, sudden events and even tragedies. If in a horoscope there is a zero year for it,
some important events cannot be seen at all is my experience.
3) In timing events in horoscopes which have
hav e exalted and debilitated planets as in the case of
Queen Elizabeth II and Chandrasekhar, the former prime minister of India, I will show how
following my method, timing of events becomes accurate.

I and my students have followed this method

m ethod and have given many successful predictions with
timing becoming accurate. The illustrative horoscopes being used here are of those famous
persons who life events are historically documented and the horoscopes used have correct lagnas
though the degrees of the lagna may be debatable. But in using Chara dasha that is not a
handicap.

NOTE: I use the Karakamsha lagna in the birth horoscope for many good reasons which are
sound. I will explain it. If all karakas are used in navamsha it is called Swamsha. It is the
tradition followed in many parts of northern India and gives excellent results. See a sutra for
example:

Shukrendo Shukradrishe rasavadi p

rasavadi p 49,
49, meaning that if Venus is in Karakamsha lagna and is
aspected by Moon, he will become a dealer in medicines etc. (Suresh Ch, Mishra Jaimini Sutram
of Ranjan Publications, 1989 edition in Hindi)

Anyone in the world with Moon and Venus in the same degrees as Atmakaraka and
Amatyakaraka in the birth horoscope will also have them in navamsha and they all will become
dealers in medicines. If you judge it from Karaka msha in lagna it may give a different meaning
and lot of flexibility is available for interpretation. It is why traditionally, north Indian
astrologers put Karakamsha in the birth horoscope and judge the results.

If you blend the results from Karakamsha in la gna and Karakamsha in Swamsha (meaning all
karakas put in navamsha as south Indian astrologers do) you get better results.

Special Point
Finally, no writer on Jaimini has talked of Darakaraka as both giver of spouse and also
death. Death should ofcourse be predicted after finding out the span of life which is a tough
task and should be approached through many techniques combined in a harmonious
scheme and technique.
MY SEVEN STEP APPROACH
Originally written for Journal of Astrology. This article and related material has been
syndicated to other websites.

Lost in wilderness, shrouded in the ambiguity of aphorism and interpreted in arbitrary fashion by astrologers with
genuine to fraudulent claims, Jaimini astrology will continue to baffle astrologers for many more decades.

What then should be the approach of an astrologer in genuine search of working and workable Jaimini methods
tormented me, as it must have many astrologers. I therefore evolved a seven step approach.

First step
Each astrologer wanting to make Jaimini astrology his predictive tool must first read
whatever books are available, most of them in translations.

My Findings: Karakas
The first problem was to decide when to use seven karakas and when eight. It was not a
ticklish problem at all as if all planets are calculated upto seconds, there never was a clash
between two planets contesting for the position of a karaka. Try it and see if I am right. I
solved this problem easily.

Meaning of Karakas: My Original Research

I studied whatever was available on Jaimini and collected a huge li brary and found that no
one, even the most respected Krishna Mishra or Neelakantha even hinted at how these
Karakas were to be used. It was like someone te lling me that he lived in Bombay but never
gave his address. It shocked me totally and sometimes I felt that either it was hidden or
these great and famous commentators never understood their uses. Then, B.Suryanarain
Rao, B.V.Raman, P.S.Sastry
P.S.Sastry or Iranganti Rancharya
Rancharya who wrote articles in the Astrological
Magazine never even pointed out or produced any research to show how these karakas
were to be used. I took a bold decision to do it myself, a task which had never been done
before by anyone.

Rule of harmony
Then as in law, so in astrology follow the principle of harmony in the i nterpretation of
karakas. I reasoned out myself and came with a workable method which has turned to be a
very effective tool for prediction. I have shown it through various examples for twenty six
years now in 2010 and will show many more in this article.

Atmakaraka
In Parashara you have the first house and
house and its lord for self so that should be the
Atmakaraka a planet with the highest degrees.

In Parashara you have the third house and

house  and its lord for siblings
sibli ngs etc so that should be the
Bhatrikaraka.
Bhatrikaraka. So that should be a planet with the third highest degrees.

In Parashara you have the fourth house and

house  and its lord for mother and home etc so that
should be the Matrikaraka. So that should be a planet with the fourth highest degrees.

In Parashara you have the fifth house for

house for education, children, mantra etc. So the fi fth
karaka must be Putrakaraka.
Putrakaraka. So that should be a planet with the fifth highest degrees.

In Parashara you have the sixth house and

house and its lord
l ord for enemies, diseases etc and so it
should be the Gnathikaraka. So that should be a planet with the sixth highest degrees.
In Parashara you have the seventh house and its lord for spouse etc and so it should be
the Darakaka. So that should be a planet with the lowest degrees.

What about Amatyakaraka then ? What about the second karaka then ?

It is Amatyakaraka which means a courtier or an important man in the court of a king in the
days of monarchy. So in our days it should mean an important man and by extension your
own importance. Is it a hint about career I wondered and proceeded with this assumption
with my research and got amazing results as I will show.

What about a karaka for father? The problem is easily solved i f you use Bhatrikaraka and
Sun for father and Bhatrikaraka and Mars for siblings as has been as shown in some books
on Jaimini. Here we must remember that sthirakarakas must always be considered in
Jaimini astrology.

Abbreviations
The abbreviations I used then were AK, AmK, B K, MK.PK.GK. and DK. I then combined
sthirakakas like Sun for father, Moon for mother etc.

Padas
For padas I decided not to use any exception and got excellent results which I will show
partially in this article or a later article.

MY SEVEN STEP APPROACH

Originally written for Journal of Astrology. This article and related material has been
syndicated to other websites.

Second step
Whatever the translators say must never be accepted blindly. Remember that most of the
translators are Sanskrit scholars but not distinguished astrologers or successful predictors.
We are grateful to them for making available many manuscripts but we must become
cautious when it comes to their what I call “ shloka mauling and sutra chopping” boast.

My Finding
Manoj Pathak a teacher of astrology in the Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan, New Delhi, decided to
do a research on Parashara’s Chakra dasha and found that out of eight different translations
of available Parashara texts, no astrologer knew how to compute it. The translation they
gave never gave any accurate results. He has solved the problem amazingly now. He and
his students have been giving brilliant readings based on Chakra dasha. Soon they are
going to come out with an amazing book.

Through experience you will know when and how to i gnore these translators or even
commentators (though there is none really who can be called a commentator of these
books) and then getting enmeshed in a confusion, seek a way out of it with l ot of struggle if
you persist with your research.

Third step
Test whatever has been understood on the well known events of your own life on your chart
and on those of your family members or friends whose li fe events are known to you with
correct events and correct dates.
My Finding
The results I got were amazing and brilliant and it is the experience of my students also.

Fourth step
Now try it on the well known horoscopes of famous people and test the validity of your
understanding on the horoscopes of yours and of your relation and friends which you have
done earlier.

My Finding
It is what I am going to show in this article.

Fifth step
Do not bring in fanciful theories which are not mentioned in any translation of Jaimini like
the CHAR KARAKA SUBSTITUTION which is a fanciful, if also fraudulent, theory being
circulated now.

My Finding
Reject totally what is not given ei ther in Jaimini sutras or in the Jaimini portion in Parashara
text otherwise you will walk into a cave where you will suffer astrological suffocation.

Sixth step
Wherever your testing necessitates it, modify with reasons the translation of Jaimini texts
remembering that most of these translators were and are only Sanskrit scholars and not
sucessful predictors because of which they may have misinterpreted or even wrongly
translated some shlokas and sutras.

My Finding
It is a risk you take but not rashly or with fraudulent claim that you have learnt it from
some secret tradition which can be dubious and fraudulent. Claiming to be belonging to a
secret tradition is marketing.

You must prove it and replicate it over a period of many years as I have done b efore
publishing my research. Your aim must be to contribute something for understanding the
changed and changing times through astrology and reject or modify whatever has
agricultural and pastoral connotation when these b ooks of astrology were written.

Seventh step
Without losing respect for Krishna Mishra or Neelakantha, the famous commentators on
Jaimini sutras, keep in mind that their own understanding or interpretation may be
incomplete or even wrong.

My Finding
I will refer to it later and not in this article.

After laying the seven step approach let me explain how I proceeded in interpreting Jaimini
astrology within my own limitations. I took a bol d decision to do it myself, a task which had
never been done before by anyone.

Special Point
Finally, no writer on Jaimini has talked of Darakaraka as both giver of spouse and also
death. Death should ofcourse be predicted after finding out the span of life which is a tough
task and should be approached through many techniques combined in a harmonious
scheme and technique.
Jaimini Astrology - 7 Step Method II
Originally written for Journal of Astrology. This article and related material has been
syndicated to other websites.

Just as you begin to grow mature you will learn that you have to avoid discussing astrology
with an astro-neophyte as much as the dogmatic pandit who argues that his interpretation
of a shloka from a Jyotisha book or even a sutra alone is correct. Challenge him, if you are
in a mood to argue with him, to show the correctness of his interpretation on ten
horoscopes and he will run away but become your enemy for the rest of your life. On such
occasions remember God and Oliver Goldsmith both. “Every absurdity has a champion to
def end it.” – Oliver Goldsmith.Remember Oliver Goldsmith again“If you were to make little
fishes talk, they would talk like whales.”

Simhastha Brihaspati
Do not accept any interpretation given blindly as for example i n Muhurtha Samhitas,
Simhastha Brihaspati or Jupiter’s transit in Simha is forbidden for marriages in some
muhurta books. Late Sri S.K.Kelkar did some work on it, being a suave non-traditionalist,
found that marriages done in this period were just li ke any other marriages and that the
promise in the birth horoscope alone showed correct results. I got done a larger research by
asking seven women astrologers, who had collected one hundred and sixty seven
horoscopes, to produce a largeresearch, the biggest on the subject till date and they were
amused to find that there was no t error in Simhastha Brihaspati marriages. Some of the
marriages which were three decades old were very happy ones.

The need to do this research arose because this is the only muhurtha I have seen which is
not universal but relates only to the territory b etween Godavari and Ganga. One astrologer
argued with me and said thatall gods (remember that it is said that Hindus have 33 crore
gods) go away to south India and do not remain in the north at all. I, in turn asked him if
the railway minister of India spent sleepless nights during this period when Jupiter was in
Simha.

The panchanga (almanac) makes ignore these researches and continue to frighten people
with the fictitious results of marriages performed when Jupiter is i n Simha which occurs
every twelve years.

When these untested dogmas become source of fright, astrology ceases to be the super
science it is and, becomes a superstition. It is so with shlokas and sutras also. Do not accept
them blindly as we do not know what are genuine and what are interpolated.

Make your own bold research hoping that someday some wise astrologers will see the
utility of this for the modern age. Tradition should be respected not as a dogma but with
malleable intelligence. The aim should be to b ring in liberal elitism without violence to
scientific and acceptable interpretation of rich astrological tradition of ours given by wise
pundits like Madhura Krishnamurthy Sastri and men of his caliber.

Working sincerely and most scientifically only one can see the extraordinary beauty of
astrology of Hindus. Let me give on i nstance which shows timing without embarrassing the
Indian Police Service officer, in service, whose wife’s horoscope is being discussed.

A police officer Ajay Kashyap (IPS) posted in Delhi was selected for a prestigious job in UNO
in 2010 as I had predicted, but he was not being relieved by the authorities in Delhi including the
Lt. Governor because of the Commonwealth Games in October 2010. His wife, an astrology
insistence on wrong interpretation, wrong approach, primitive approach and abysmal record
of predictive astrology.

A well placed woman student who had topped in our jyotisha examination and is now in
quite a high post wrote to me the following which I am reproducing again editing out her
id.

Dear Sir
I thought I should thank you for grooming me to handle the position I do today. Your
research pattern is so well thought out that it can beat even the best of institutes. I
interviewed the director of Management Development Institute, Dr Pritam Singh (He got a
padma shri in 2003) and I discovered that you have been grooming me in the same way to
reach that mental and physical level. Today, I feel I am more equipped to handle life as I
read and write better and am more discriminating in my associations. So I guess, all's well
that ends well.

Jaimini Astrology - 7 Step Method II

I am quoting these letters, among hundreds I have, only to show that unless you have
healthy respect, with healthier skepticism, for the pandits, you cannot break new ground
and rescue astrology from its primitive state in which it still thrives.

When students bring instances of shocking, primitive meaning of some shlokas from
jyotisha books, I tell them to observe these in many horoscopes and see if it is fitting into
the pattern of life as it is in twenty first century. Otherwise you will go back to primitive
astrology because publishers all over the world know how to sell the rubbish they publish.
And there are writers who pay for publishing their books which suit s many publishers. There
are writers who tell the publishers that they will not demand any royalty. The truth is that
they are more anxious to announce their arrival through dubious methods.

But you will not easily come across writers who can synthesize these and put them in
proper perspective for modern life. Ask yourself, as a very intelligent woman student of ours,
asked me after reading a latest version of Phaldeepika and reading the results of the seventh
house and planets placed there, if all this was to be accepted as gospel truth. For some women
the seventh house is entire horoscope.

Placement Of Planets In 7th house Wrt Marriage

Sun in 7H:
He suffers mental tension, physical pain and distress from the wife.

Moon in 7H:
Moon in the 7H gives ample conjugal comforts and pleasure. The wife is very charming with
a chiseled physique.
Mars in 7H:
He may lose conjugal happiness and live a disharmonious married life.

Mercury in 7H:
7th Mercury would tend to bestow a wise and pretty wife to the native.

Jupiter in 7H:
Jupiter in 7H bestows a beautiful and sagacious wife.

Venus in 7H:
Venus in 7H gives a pretty wife but along with comes an almost i nsatiable sexual appetite
which may lead to extra marital affairs and marital disharmony with eventual dire
consequences of separation or even divorce.

Saturn in 7H:
Sat in the 7H gives a serious wife of few words, who is often sad l ooking and disappointed.
This increases the possibility of separation and marital disharmony.

Rahu in 7H:
Rahu directly controls the serpent power hidden in a man. Rahu is impulsive and must work
through the extremes. Rahu in 7H can either inflame the passion i n a man to a point of
instability or may extinguish the sex flames completely - either of the way is not good for
conjugal bliss.

Ketu in 7H:
Ketu in 7H spoils the conjugal harmony, creates all kinds of fears.

Compiled by Anju Sachdeva

Taken from 'Phaldeepika' by Sage Mantreshwara translated by U K Jha Will you accept the
view of Mantreshwara or modify it and take a more composite view in the sociological context
of modern life? UK Jha has only translated, contributed nothing original, not being a
commentator. But you will not easily come across writers who can synthesize these, after deep
research, and put them in proper perspective for modern life.

1.) Take up the horoscope of Amitabh Bachchan with Rahu in the seventh house with no
aspect of any planet and association with any planet. In interpreting it, remember that he
belongs to the glamour world.

2) Laura Bush 4 Nov 1946, 18:00:00, Midl and, Texas, USA with six planets in the seventh
and eighth house and remember that her husband continued to m aul English language even
after becoming a born again Christian.

3) Indira Gandhi and her ruined married inspite of Moon being in the seventh house.

4) Devegowda 18 May 1933, 10.09 Hassan Karnataka with Karka Lagna and Saturn in the
seventh house.

5) Bush Sr. 12 June 1924, 10.43 Mi lton, MA USA with Simha lagna and Mars and Ketu in the
seventh house.

I can reel off instances after instances to show why astrology which had been rescued from
the hands of primitive half lit erate pandits who had kept alive the tradition of jyotisha
somehow (we are grateful to them) was modernized by B. Suryanana Rao, Dr. B.V.Raman
and some of their contemporaries to the extent i t was possible. These days with very
intelligent, well educated and argumentative students who do not have respect for
all teachers, the challenge of modernizing astrology is being met more satisfactorily than ever
before. This is to be seen and experienced to be believed.

That is what Ambica meant when she wrote “I thought I should thank you for gr ooming me
to handle the position I do today. Your research pattern is so well thought out that it can
beat even the best of institutes.”

I have produced it here because when I was defending the case of astrology in the Supreme
Court on 3 Nov 2003, I was aware of the vicious arguments against astrology and its
primitive interpretations taking us to primitive age and leading to “saffronization” which was
the pet communist argument. While other astrologers who could have joined as petiti oners-
in-person and argue in English chickened out, I was left alone, the only astrologer, to fight
the battle against India’s top lawyer, Shanti Bhushan. Because my astrology is modern not
primitive, interpretative in approach, non dogmatic in conclusions and methodical in vast
replication, I won the battle. That i s what our students do and shine brilliantly, some of
them appear to be super brilliant and are the future greats of Hindu astrology. Some of the
crooked ones will become Kaal Sarpa Yogis also.

Same is the case with the ayanamsha. We use, Lahiri’s. If some ayanamsha lunatics come
out with different values, let them battl e it out with modern astronomer to prove their point
and not run away from the battle. Since I rely on Jaimini’s karakas, I have found that Lahiri
alone gives them correctly for correct results. Other ayanamshas sometimes convert the
Atmakaraka into Darakaraka and the whole sequence and ranking of karakas is turned
upside down. One very sattwick swami from south India, Tamilian or Keralite, by the name
Sadashiva Giri had met me many years ago and asked me to see his ayanamsha. I told him
that we were not interested in any astronomical discussion or even Surya Siddhanta. He
said that his ayanamsha was based on divine inspiration (Deva Dutta) and that publishers in
Delhi and the late R. Santhanam had insulted him.

An American woman, Deborrah Ress said that she would finance the publication of his book
if I wrote the preface. I did it neither accepting his ayanamsha nor rejecting. I asked
readers to judge it themselves as I did not want to insult a swami who was not boastful at
all like ayanamsha lunatics I have met often and so many times.

I have fought this battle for fi fty years and now the new generation of educated astrologer
will do it better than what I have.

Let me quote from the research.

Jupiter in Simha – successful marriages

“In the end, it must repeated that researches must be produced in astrology with evidences
to rescue it from fraudulent, foolish and frivolous astrologers. It must also be remembered
that in the case of the Ramayana and the Mahabharata and other Puranas, the Bhandarkar
Institute of Pune has done researches to remove interpolations from various versions. In the
case of astrology such work has not been done. Different publishers have published different
versions of many of these books. For instance, one can see different versions of the Brihat
Parashara Shastra and see some conflicting versions and contradictions in them. It is not
difficult to assume that in the Muhurtha books similar interpolations may have taken place.
The prejudice attached to Simhastha Jupiter and marriages may be an interpolation. At any
rate, through our astrological research we see no reason to accept it as an astrologically
valid objec tion to marriages.”  K.N. Rao 10 September 2003
Tendulkar
In early nineties of the last century a television anchor from Bombay who specialized in
sports used to meet me in Delhi and promised that he would get the birth details of both
Tendulkar and Kambli. In his next visit he told me that he would not be able to get it as the
families of both Tendulkar and Kambli were advised not to give their birth details to anyone.
This may have led to the creation of 24 April as the birthday of Sachin Tendulkar.

Then when I got the birth details from Karveji and his daughter Pinky, I gave i t to Sri Manoj
Pathak who has produced an article which is there displayed on the website.

I told many that the birth details of Virendra Sehwag were different in earlier year with his
month of birth shown as May or April not 20 October of 1978. But then an article in an issue
of the Journal of Astrology, later in a book, made it difficult for the wrong date to continue
since it was well known that I had got the details from the sister in law of the elder sister of
Virendra Sehwag. She is high ranking officer in the Indian railways and knows astrology.
Suppression of correct birth details was not possible in thi s case. There has been no such
compulsion in the case of Tendulkar.

Astrologers have always quarreled without realizing that they are f ooled by politicians and
celebrities. They keep burning their fingers and never learn any lesson. But the age old
Hindu or even Moghul emperor’s tradition of giving wrong birth data will continue for some
reasons.

SOME IMPORTANT CASES

QUEEN ELIZABETH II

Margaret was born on 21 August 1930 in Scorpio-Simha with BK Venus aspect ing the
third house from Simha and in dreshkona where Venus is in the third house from
Simha.

Marriage- She was married on 20 November 1947. Karka -Mesha- Vrischika which has
darakaraka. Cancer is the seventh house from her lagna and i s aspected by DK Saturn
and also has DKN. In the navamsha lagna there is DKN in Karka while the pratyantara
dasha of Vrischika has DK Saturn.

Birth of children
1. Prince Charles 14 Nov 1948, Elizabeth gave birth to her first child, Prince Charles, on 14
November 1948,( Karka-Meena which has PK). From Karka the fifth house receives the
aspect of Jupiter the sthira Putrakaraka. In Saptamsha Mercury the PK is in the fifth house
aspecting the natural PK Jupiter.

2. Princess Anne 15 Aug 1950, A second child, Princess Anne, was born on 15 Aug 1950.
Again in Karka but Makar antardasha which is aspected by PK Mercury in the Saptamsha.

3.Prince Edwards was born on 19 Feb 1960, in Mithuna mahadasha which is aspected by
Mercury (PK) and Kumbha antardasha from where the fifth house has the aspect of PK. He
must have entered his mother’s womb in the antardasha of Meena which has PK.

4. Edward Mountbatten-Windsor was born on 10 March 1964, It was Mithuna mahadasha

aspected by PK and Simha antardasha from where the fifth house Dhanu is aspected by PK.

I have discussed these events in my book Planets and Chil dren using Vimshottari dasha and
the double transit of Jupiter and Saturn.

Proclaimed Queen
“On 6 February 1952, they had just returned to Sagana Lodge, about 100 miles (160 km)
north of Nairobi, after a night spent at Treetops Hotel when word arrived of the death of
Elizabeth's father. “ It was Makar Dhanu Kumbha dashas with BK aspected by Sun natural
significaor for father. Note: How BK combined with Sun the natural significator for father
shows the event of her father’s death. There is no need for an eighth karaka as some
softwares have and have confused many l overs of Jaimini astrology.

She was proclaimed the new queen as both AK and Amk aspect the tenth from Kumbha.
She and the Duke of Edinburgh moved i nto Buckingham Palace. Fourth house is aspected by
both AK and AmK in the same dasha. Coronation 2 June 1953 It was Karka mahadasha
from where AK and Amk aspect the eleventh house and Tula antardasha with both
Atmakaraka in the fourth house of raj simhasana or the royal throne and Dhanu antardasha
which is the rashi of rise and fall and from Dhanu the ninth house of di gnity gets aspected
by both Atmakaraka and Amatyakaraka.

A bad year
“In 1992, which Elizabeth termed her annus horribilis, meaning horrible year, two of her
sons separated, her daughter divorced, and a severe fire destroyed part of Windsor Castle.
Revelations on the state of her eldest son Charles's marriage continued, and he divorced in
1996. “(from the internet) It was the period of Kumbha-Dhanu which is aspected by PK and
from where the seventh house has Rahu.

In the Saptamsha,(Karka lagna) Dhanu antardasha is the sixth house. It is worse as the PK
is in the twelfth house (Vrischika twelfth from Dhanu) DK and GK are in the sixth house
showing trouble to her children making it a horrible year for her.

NOTE :I make use of different vargas and the researched Chara dasha along with exalted
and debilitated planet is shown in the riskiest prediction of my life gi ven to a former prime
minister of India ,Chandrasekhar. It has been mentioned in the biography of Chandrasekhar
of the late Hiralal Chaubey with a mention of how I corrected the lagna itself of
Chandrasekar and predicted his rise to the post of the prime minister of India. See the
article of Chandrasekar

Rajiv Gandhi
Birth of sibling
Birth of Sanjay 14 Dec 1946 Simha which has BK Moon along with so many other
karakas, in the antardasha of Vrischika from where the third house is aspected by BK.
His younger brother Sanjay Gandhi was born.

Chara Dasha
Leo 20-08-1944, Virgo 20-08-1956, Libra 29-08-1957, Scorpio 20-08-1967, Sagittarius
20-08-1969, Capricorn 20-08-1977, Aquarius 20-08-1984, Pisces 19-08-1992
Birth of his sibling
In Kumbha mahadasha and the antardashas of Simha and Kanya his only sibling,
Ajitabh Bachchan was born in May 1947. Kanya has his Bhatrikaraka, Mars. Meena
1951 to 1959, Mesha 1959 to 1964, Vrisha 1964 to 1968, Mithuna 1968 to 1971

This dasha of Mithuna was the turning point of his life as AK and AmK, Sun and Mercury
along with PK, Venus the planet of artistry aspect his tenth house giving to AB the greatest
turning point in his career with some acting roles in which he was noticed. Let me quote
from some information gathered by some students as my knowledge of cinema is awfully
poor.

“He first gained popularity in the early 1970s as the "angry young man" of Bollywood
cinema, and has since become one of the most prominent fi gures in the history of Indian
cinema.”

“Bachchan made his film debut in 1969 as one of the seven protagonists in Saat Hindustani, a
film directed by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas and featuring Utpal Dutt, Madhu and Jalal Agha. Though
the film was not a financial success, Bachchan won his first National Film Award for Best
 Newcomer.

Anand (1971) followed, where he starred alongside Rajesh Khanna. Bachchan's roles as a

doctor with a cynical view of life garned him his first Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award.
Amitabh then played the role of an infatuated lover in Parwaana (1971). This was followed
by several films including Reshma Aur Shera (1971). During this time, he made a guest
appearance in the film Guddi which starred his future wife Jaya Bhaduri. He narrated part of
the film Bawarchi.”

The next dasha of Karka 1971 to 1980 has DK and also DKN, Jupiter, exalted and
vargottama.

Marriage and Children

I do not have the exact date of his marriage but the l ikely period is Karka Mesha which was
from April 1973 to January 1974 Mesha being the seventh house of the navamsha.

His first child, a daughter, Shweta, could have taken birth in the antardashas of Meena/Kumbha
starting from January 1974.
His son Abhishek in news as an actor and husband of Aishwarya could have been born i n
1976 in Karka Dhanu from April 1976 t o Jan 1977 as the Saptamsha given here shows PK in
Mithuna with Kumbha lagna.

His Accident of 1982

I had given this prediction in Jan 1982 to his mother and had written an article also in the
Astrological Magazine. Let me show the same event through Chara dasha. It was in the
Simha dasha which was from 1980 to 1991. GK Moon is aspecting this rashi Simha and in
the antardasha of Tula the accident took place in July 1982 perhaps on 2 July. This was the
period of Simha Tula, Tula from 14 July 1982 to 11 August 1982.

All that I have been able to get from the internet is that the accident was on 26 July 1982 in
the shooting of picture Coolie but the time is not mentioned. If four of five levels of Chara
Dasha are worked it will be:
Mahadasha is of Simha aspected by GK
Antardasha of Tula having GK
Pratyantaradasha of again Tula
Sookshma dasha is Mesha seventh from GK but aspected by Rahu and Ketu.
The Prana dasha could be Karka which has DK and it was a very fatal accident which nearly
could have caused death

Foray Into Politics: The Cesspool

“In 1984, Bachchan took a break from acting and briefly entered politics in support of long-
time family friend, Rajiv Gandhi. He contested Allahabad's seat of 8th Lok Sabha against H.
N. Bahuguna, former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and won by the one of the highest
victory margins in general election history (68.2% of the vote). His political career, however,
was short-lived: he resigned after three years, calling politics a cesspool.”
Simha Dhanu (July 1983 to June 1984) and Simha Makara upto May 1985. Amitabh
joined politics in this period and Makara being a rashi, generally, of change ; it was from the film
world to what he called the cesspool of politics, an unpleasant change in his life. It must have
been so as from Makara, there is GK in the tenth house. From Makara, the ninth house is
excellent having Atmakaraka, Amatyakaraka and Putrakaraka, Venus.

Dhanu is the rashi of rise and fall and accidents etc. See the tenth house with AK and Amk
and PK and BK. He won his elections against H.N. Bahuguna which was a big achievement
and entered the Indian parliament and got disgusted with politics soon.

He won his elections in Makara from where the pl anet of democracy, Saturn, aspects the
tenth house.

Simha Mesha (March 1987 to Feb 1988) He got disgusted with politics and with AK and
AmK in the sixth house of struggle decided finally to leave politics which annoyed his
childhood friend Rajiv Gandhi, the Indian prime mi nister particularly after he described
politics as “cesspool”. Notice, BK also in the sixth house representing his brother Ajitabh and
the controversy of Bofors in which Ajitabh too was mentioned.

I will trace four more events through Chara Dasha.

Amitabh’s Kanya dasha was from 1991 to 2003. Note here both BK Mars and Sun are
placed proving it to be bad for his famous father Harivansrai Bachchan whom our generation
admired much more than Amitabh. Sun and BK here eliminates the need for a separate
karaka for father.
Harivansh Bachchan died on 18 Jan 2003. It was Kanya Kanya Makar both BK and Sun
are here and DK in the seventh house.

Also note The Tula dasha started from 2003 and will last upto 2014.

If a karaka that is afflicted is aspected by Gnathikaraka also it leads to early

departure of such person from one’s life, in various ways generally, not alw ays. In
his case, Amitabh’s Matrikaraka Saturn receives the benefic aspect of Jupiter, though
aspected by GK. There is Moon here, representing mother and eighth from here in Vrisha is
Saturn, the Matrikaraka. The end of his mother Smt.Teji Bachchan who had done
Vishnusahastranama with me many times in my house, was becoming vi sible.

Smt.Teji Bachchan died on 21 Dec 2007 in Tula Meena Tula. DK Jupiter aspects MK Saturn
in the eighth house from Tula.

World recognition
“In 1999, Bachchan was voted the Greatest Star of stage or screen of the Millennium by
BBC online poll where he defeated many Holl ywood legends. In 2001, he was honoured with
the Actor of the Century award at the Alexandria International Film Festival in Egypt in
recognition of his contribution to the world of cinema.” (from the internet).

It was the period Kanya mahadasha with AK and AmK here aspecting the tenth house and
antardasha of Mithuna from where the tenth house is aspected by AK and Amk. This period
ended in 2001 with Kanya-Kanya where both AK and AmK and PK forming many Jaimini
rajayogas are present.

Marriage of his son

Aishwarya Abhishek wedding photos 27 Apr 2007 ... (from the internet). It was Tula
mahadasha and Kumbha antardasha which is the lagna of the Saptamsha and the pratyantardasha
of Makara where DK Jupiter is placed in the Saptamsha.

It is how Chara Dasha as researched by me and used both in the birth horoscope
and relevant varga charts are to be used.
