Kshitij Adventure as an organización strives to promote

preservation of environment,ecology,nature and culture of the

Himalayan trekking expedition-2011 is organised by Kshitij

Adventure,Surat in association with Mountain
Expedition,Manali and Mount Nandadevi expedition of
Bageshwar,Uttarakhand.

TREKKING GRADE : Strenuous

MAX. ALTITUDE : 4350m. (14700 Ft.)

NO.OF DAYS : 13 days.

ITINEARY

Day 0. Departure from Surat by Golden temple express at mid night (1 A.M.)

Day 1 . Surat to Ghaziabad

Arrival at Ghaziabad in the evening,(7.45 P.M.)and departure for Kathgodam by Trai
Ranikhet expresses.

Day 2.Kathgodam to Base Camp Loharkhet (5320 Ft.)

Reach Kathgodam early in the morning and after breakfast, enter Himalayan range by
and reach base camp Loharkhet via Almora.Bageshwar and Saung.

Day 3: Loharkhet to Dhakuri (8900 Ft.9K.M.)

Trek commences from Loharkhet village to next destination Dhakuri Top(2680 mtrs
under the majestic Kumaon Himalayas. Overnight stay in KMVN Rest house or tent a
Dhakuri.
Day 4 Dhakuri to Khati (7350 Ft. 7 K.M.) -

The trek to Khati descends down and can comfortably be accomplished. From Khati
snow-capped peaks of Mighty Himalayan Range are distinctly visible. Khati is the
biggest village enroute Pindari.

Day 5 .Khati to Jaitoli.(8100 Ft. 8 K.M.)

From Khati follow pinder river unto Warbham - the meeting place of Pinder River an
Sunderdhunga stream. Now along Sunderdhunga stream, reach Jaitoli crossing bould
and steep ascent. Overnight stay in tent.

Day 6. Jatoli – Dhungia Dhaun (9100 Ft. 8 K.M.)

The trek is through thick alpine forest for more than half the journey and today’s trek
be quite tough.
Day 7. Dhungia Dhaun to Kathalia (10650 Ft. 7 K.M.)
Today it is quite easy walk to reach our top camp Kathalia.On the way one gets
panoramic view of Himalayan range.We stay here for two nights in tents or huts.
Day 8. Kathalia to Maiktoli and back.(14480 Ft .8 K.M.)
After breakfast early in the morning, we start a trek to Maiktoli Top. Maiktoli top (42
mtrs.) is a steep climb and when you reach there you will feel that you have touched t
peak. You get magnificent view of Maiktoli,Nanda khat and Trishul. The day is
memorable for all those who are in love with nature and its pristine glory. We have to
come back to Kathalia for night halt.
Day 9. Kathalia to Jaitoli (8100 Ft. 15 K.M.)

As the trek descends down from Kathalia to Jaitoli one can complete this task easily e
if walking slowly and enjoying every moment of beautifully enriched scenic pulchritu
of Sunderdhunga valley.

Day 10. Jaitoli to Dhakuri (8900 Ft. 15 K.M.)

Today again we have to ascend and return to beautiful campsite Dhakuri and relax.

Day 11. Dhakuri to Loharkhet – (9 K.M.)

Reach Loharkhet by afternoon and transfer to Bageshwar in hotel by bus/geep.

Day 12. Leave Bageshwar early in the morning to explore Nainital for 3-4 hours
before you reach Kathgodam railway station.In the evening (7.30p.m.)departure by tr
for Delhi.

Day 13. Reach early in the morning at Delhi and depart for Surat by Golden templ
express at 8 a.m.
Same day reach Surat at mid night by 1p.m.

NOTE: (a) Itinerary is subject to change due to enough accumulation/ volume of

snow on the trek at higher camps and other natural calamities & circumstances.
In this condition optional routes itinerary will be given/followed at the happening
point.
In case of accident, illness, injury or mishappening, Mountain Nandadevi
