Xpress Point Staff Referral Scheme-FAQs

 What is Xpress Point Staff Referral Scheme?


It is a financial empowerment scheme that rewards Ecobank staff for referring an Xpress
Point Agent. The Agent must successfully onboard and transact for the referring staff to
qualify for the reward.

 Who can participate in this scheme?


Participation is open to all staff of Ecobank (both Core and Non-core)

 What is Ecobank Xpress Point?


Ecobank Xpress Point enables eligible Agents to carry out financial transactions on behalf of
Ecobank and earn commission per transaction processed.

 How do I identify an Agent?


Prospective Agents must:
i. Have a locked-up location (a brick and mortar store/shop) from which he/she operates from.
ii. Be willing to render financial services on behalf of Ecobank Nigeria.
iii. Be strategically located with demand for financial services.
iv. Be able to commit a minimum float requirement of N10,000
v. Be of good reputation and trusted in the community where he/she operates

 Who can be an Agent?

Eligible Agents Prohibited Entities


Limited Liability Companies Staff of the Bank and Associates.
Sole Proprietorships Not-for-profit Organizations.
Partnerships Bureau De Change (BDCs)
Corporative Societies Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOS)
Microfinance Banks Faith Based Originations I.e. Churches, Mosques
etc.
Petty Traders, Hair Saloons, Business Centers, Educational Organizations i.e. Schools
Super Markets, Existing Mobile Money Agents
Companies with Large Distribution Network
E.g. Petrol Stations, FMCGs

 What Services are available on the Agency Banking platform?


Available Services include:
i. Cash-In
ii. Cash-Out
iii. Funds Transfer
iv. Bill Payments
v. Airtime Recharge
vi. Remittance: Rapid Transfer
vii. Account Opening

 What equipment does an Xpress Point Agent need?


• A desktop with internet connection
• Or an Android-enabled device with operation system version 5.0 or later to enable
download of the Xpress Point Agent App with a dedicated mobile phone number
• Or a feature phone for USSD transactions
• CCTV and printer/copier (for international transfer agents only)

 How can an Ecobank Staff participate?


i. Identify a prospective Agent
ii. Engage the Agent
iii. Fill out the Xpress Point Referral Sheet and send to alleng-AgencyBanking or
iv. Log the referral on the Agent Referral Portal

 How will I know if the Agent Referred has been successfully onboarded?
A staff of Agency banking will reach out to you via mail. It is imperative that all referrals are
logged on the portal to enable tracking.

 What do I do next after the Agent has been successfully onboarded?


Reach out to the Agent and encourage the Agent to transact. The more the Agent transacts,
the more incentive you get.

 What is in it for you?


Financial reward – 10% of the commission earned by the Bank on Agent transaction for
every Agent referred.

 How and when will the incentive be paid?


Reward will be paid monthly; referring staff salary account will be credited by the 2 nd week
of the following month after validation.

 How will performance be monitored and tracked?


At the end of each month, Agency Banking will communicate the performance of each Agent
referred to Staff.
