Now I am standing before you taking presidential office being deeply conscious of my enormous
responsibility towards every person, towards Russia – the country of great victories and our ancestors.
Their courage, tireless labour, high respect to their motherland – is an immortal example of their devotion
to their homeland.
I commit myself to do everything for Russia, for its present and future – peaceful and prosperous.
Believe the desired goal of my life and work, will be as it is, serving to our people and our homeland. Foe
me that is above all.
With all of my heart I am grateful to the citizens of Russia for your cohesion, the firm faith in
making many aspects of our life better. I want to say thank you one more time for that wide level of
sincere support, that you gave me in the elections. I consider it to be a huge political capital, hope and
moral strength. This support is significant for standing up for our positions in the international arena and
for deep changes inside the country.
Russia must be modern and dynamic, must be ready to face the difficulties of hardships to
gradually attain its leadership in those spheres where we are strong and confident.
The way in the future is never easy, it is always a challenging search. And history does not
approve of indifference, that’s why we should guard against complacency.
The tasks that we will attain, the solutions, that we should think of are historical without
overestimation. They will determine the fate of our Homeland for many years. We stand before hard
work, which demands the full use and strength of Russian citizens.
We need to breakthrough in all the fields of our life. I am deeply sure that this breakthrough is
able to create only a free society, that struggle against injustice and dead bureaucracy – everything that
doesn’t let people to rise uninhibited by the hard shackles, everything that doesn’t let them to make the
best of their abilities and talents.
We had coped with the hardest economic, social problems, and realised that we should be in tune
with our multicultural history. Our experience makes evident that we should preserve what we achieved
and, on this basis, go ahead.
Of course, we should keep up to date with global changes, build up a plan of our development, so
that we face no obstacles, and we could decide on our future and make all the utopias come true. We
stand for equality and fruitful cooperation with every country in honour of stability on our planet.
Now we should make the most of our abilities, first of all to solve the problems of nowadays.
New quality of living environment, prosperity and health of people – that are the most important, which is
in the center of our policy. Our goal – is Russia as the land of opportunity which assures the scope within
which everyone can attain his self-realization.
With the united effort of every citizens, we will definitely attain our desired life’s goals and
provide the development or rural, urban areas and achieve frontiers in the sphere of science and
technology. We will satisfy the needs of every person, every family and improve education and
healthcare.
We will care especially of family values, giving women and their children wide support to let
them grow and develop as healthy, smart and talented people.
Dear friends! Being the head of the state, I will do everything possible to satisfy the requirements
of our society and to let our county become prosperous.
We all know there were hardships for our people in 1990s and 2000s, not all wounds were cured
and not all the barriers were overcame, and we face new challenges, new complicated tasks which
demands hard work.
 1000-thousand-year history shows that Russia stood on many times maintaining different
difficulties, that seemed to be impossible, than it faced new frontiers and moved ahead.
I am absolutely sure that now we attain this breakthrough, because we are a strong team, that is
able to cope with all difficulties. Let love to the motherland, everything the best, that possess the human,
inspire every single person, to self-development and personal success, to their work and families and
common hard labour to the prosperity of motherland.
We are sure to be a success! I believe, that will be so. I will do everything possible. Thank you.
