Ms. N. Purnima attended two workshops in 2016 on research capacity building and mixed methods research held in SRU and conducted by visiting Fulbright and University of Washington professors. The workshops aimed to enhance research skills. Several faculty have published papers in national and international journals on topics like stress among nurses, chemotherapy experiences of patients, pulmonary function in asthmatics, asthma management, injury prevention knowledge, diabetes knowledge, elderly home safety, burnout among nurses, massage therapy for hypertension, ventilator airway clearance, pain management after surgery, coronary risk factor education, physiological effects of aromatherapy, migraine disability, osteoporosis prevention, stroke patient cognition and experiences, and alcohol dependence treatment.
