Personal Superior:
Primer Oficial de Cubierta o Jefe de Cubierta:
Tiene la obligación de realizar 8 horas de
guardia en navegación y puerto (04:00 -08:00
á 16:00 – 20:00). Es el brazo ejecutivo del
capitán. De aquel dependen la carga y estiba,
mantenimiento de los elementos y equipos de
cubierta, la conducción del personal, la
estabilidad y tareas administrativa (como
asignar las horas extras, etc.), entre otras
funciones. Asiste en casos de primeros auxilios.
Diagrama, con el monitoreo del capitán, el plan
de carga y lo hace ejecutar. Graduado de la
Escuela Nacional de Náutica.
Segundo Oficial de Cubierta: Efectúa 8 horas de
guardia en navegación y en puerto (00:00
-04:00 á 12:00 – 16:00). Tiene como
responsabilidad el cargo de navegación, por ello
debe mantener actualizas las cartas de
navegación y publicaciones. Analiza y Traza las
derrotas, previa consulta con el capitán.
Además, verificar el normal funcionamiento de
todos los equipos del puente de mando y de los
de antiderrame de hidrocarburos y/o sustancias
peligrosas. Ejecuta durante la guardia en
puerto, el plan de carga confeccionado por el 1°
Oficial de Cubierta. Graduado de la Escuela
Nacional de Náutica.
