KHUTBA HAJJUL WIDA (10.A.

H)
EXPLANATION
DAY 1:
The last sermon of the Prophet-peace be upon him- is known as Khutbatul Wada'. It is
mentioned in almost all books of Hadith. This Khutbah of the Prophet-peace be upon him-
was long and it contained much guidance and instructions on many issues. The Prophet-
peace be upon him- gave this sermon in front of a large gathering of people during Hajj.

Answer 1:

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) gave His Last Sermon on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah in the year
10 Hijri or 632 AC in the valley of Arafat. This is one of the most renowned Sermons of
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as He gave it on His first and last Hajj. The sermon is a series
of proclamations in which Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) spoke about various matters of
guidance for Muslims.

Explanation:

The property that is seized by force may be real estate or it may be moveable goods,
because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever seizes a
hand span of land unlawfully, will surround him to the depth of seven earths.”

The one who has seized anything unlawfully must repent to Allah, return the seized
property to its owner, and ask him for forgiveness. The Prophet (peace and blessings of
Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever has done any wrong to his brother, let him seek his
forgiveness today, before there will be no dinar and no dirham [i.e., the Day of
Resurrection], when if he has any hasanaat (good deeds), some of his hasanaat will be
taken and given to the one who was wronged, and if he  does not have any hasanaat, some
of the sayi’aat (bad deeds) of the one who was wronged will be taken and thrown onto him,
and he will be thrown into Hell,” or as he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)  said it.
If the seized property is still there, it should be returned as it is, and if it is not there, then
he must replace it.

Answer 2:
He started by saying, “O people! Listen to my words, for I do not know whether we shall
meet again and perform Hajj after this year.”

The Prophet talked about holding some ones property by force is sin. In Islam it s called
“Ghasb” The Quran says,” “And eat up not one another’s property unjustly (in any
illegal way, e.g. stealing, robbing, deceiving”

[al-Baqarah 2:188]

Day 2:

Explanation: Rights of woman in Islam

"O Mankind, Be dutiful to your Lord who created you from a single soul and from it created
its mate (of same kind) and from them twain has spread a multitude of men and women".

An-Nisa, 4:1

Stressing this noble and natural conception, the Qur'an further states:

He (God) it is who did create you from a single soul and there from did create his mate,
that he might dwell with her (in love)...

Al-A’raf, 7:189

"And Allah has made for you azwaj (mates or wives) of your own kind, and has made for
you from your mates, children and grandchildren, and has made provision of good things
for you. Do they then disbelieve in false deities and deny the favor of Allah?"

An-Nahl, 16::72

Since men and women have been created from one origin and one entity, neither of them
can claim superiority over each other.  They have been created from the same source and
so their essence is the same.  This is reinforced in the Qur’an many times so as to ensure
humankind is aware that both are equal in the eyes of God.

Answer 4: Prophet said that: You should treat woman kindly,” The Holy Prophet (saw) also
stated: “Treat women well, for they have been created from a rib.  The rib is most curved in
its upper part, so that if you try to straighten it out, it will break, but if you leave it as it is,
it will remain intact.  Therefore, follow my advice on giving fair treatment to women"

(Sahih Bukhari, Kitab An-Nikah)

DAY 3:

TOPIC: BENEFITS OF SALAH

EXPLANATION:

“O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient.”
(2:153)

Therefore, a Muslim must use prayers as a means of invocation and ask Allah Almighty for help and
assistance in any difficulty or worry.

Leading To Taqwa:
Piety or righteousness is the prime objective which a Muslim has to achieve in this life. All the
instructions, constraints, freedom, rights and education provided by Islam are with the objective that
a Muslim becomes pious and moves on the righteous path. In this regard, prayer has a great role to
play as it promotes Taqwa or piety in the follower. In Quran, Allah Almighty says:

“This is the Book in which there is no doubt, a guidance for those who have Taqwa:
who believe in the unseen, and who establish Salah, and spend out of what we have
provided for them.” (2:2-3)
Therefore, in addition to giving charity and believing in the unseen, a Muslim must also establish
Salah in order to move towards Taqwa.

Reward In The Afterworld:

Every deed, whether good or bad that a Muslim undertakes in this life, he or she will have to be
answerable for it in the afterlife. Although all the deeds get rewarded in the afterlife, however, the
actual reward of Salah will truly be realized in the afterlife when Allah Almighty will shower special
blessings on that person. In Quran, Allah says:
“Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds and establish prayer and give zakah will have
their reward with their Lord, and there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.” (2:277)

Therefore, prayer is not something that ends in this world, rather the real reward of it will come to
surface in the afterlife.

Staying Connected With Allah:

Muslims who realize that Allah Almighty is their Lord and the Giver of everything, they try to develop
a relation with Him and wish to stay connected with Him as much as possible so that their relation
grows strong. Salah can effectively help in achieving so, as Allah says in Quran:

And when you have completed the prayer, remember Allah standing, sitting, or [lying] on your sides.
But when you become secure, re-establish [regular] prayer. Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon
the believers a decree of specified times. (4:103)

Therefore, performing prayers is a means of developing a connection with Allah Almighty and when
a Muslim does so five times a day, then the consequent relationship is to naturally grow strong.

Protection From Satan:

Satan is an open enemy of believers and all what he tries is to make people go stray from the path
of righteousness and go down in the path of oblivion and darkness. Satan tries to tempt a person in
all the possible ways and when a person once listens to him, he gradually lures him or her down
further into the pit of darkness. Therefore, seeking protection from Satan is also imperative for a
Muslim. In Quran Allah Almighty says:
Satan only wants to cause between you animosity and hatred through intoxicants and gambling and
to avert you from the remembrance of Allah and from prayer. So will you not desist? (5:91)

Therefore, not offering prayer is actually falling into the prey of Satan, whereas those who try to offer
and establish prayer are actually resisting his temptation and when these temptations are resisted
for long the result is one not falling prey to Satan ever again on any forefront.

Prevention From Lewdness:

In life, a Muslim gets exposed to all sorts of environments and people, all of which have a direct
impact on the personality of the person. There is no denying the fact that the current plight of the
people of the world is miserable where they are more prone towards ills and lewdness compared to
goodness, thus if a Muslim starts being like other people, he or she goes down the road of darkness.
Thus, in order to prevent one’s self from all the lewdness that is common in the world of today, a
Muslim must find refuge in Salah as it will help in combating lewdness, as Allah says in Quran:

Recite, [O Muhammad], what has been revealed to you of the Book and establish prayer. Indeed,
prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allah is greater. And Allah
knows that which you do. (29:45)

Therefore, a Muslim must consider Salah as an effective weapon when it comes to fighting lewdness
and evils of all sorts.

Conclusion:
In a nutshell, those who learn and read Quran on regular basis are familiar with the importance of
Salah and how strongly has Allah Almighty emphasized on it and explained its importance to the
people in Quran. A Muslim must realize that above anything, Salah is an obligation and every
Muslim has to fulfill his or her obligation.

Q5.Highlight he benefits of Salah.

Leading To Taqwa
Reward In The Afterworld
Staying Connected With Allah
Protection from Satan
Prevention from Lewdness

Q7 why should we keep fast?

Fasting is obligatory for all responsible and medically fit Muslims. Allah says in the Noble Quran:
O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you
may become righteous.” (Quran, 2:183)

Muslims attain Taqwa in fasting during Ramadan. Taqwa is basically an act of righteousness, fear of
Allah and total submission towards Him. In the Holy Quran Allah Almighty says:

“Fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may attain
taqwaa.” (Quran, 2:183)

“(Allah said), ‘Every good deed of Adam’s son is for him except fasting; it is for Me. and I
shall reward (the fasting person) for it.’ Verily, the smell of the mouth of a fasting person is
better to Allah than the smell of musk.” (Bukhari)

Q8. WHY SHOULD WE GIVE ZAKAT?

A8. Zakat is the third pillar of Islam and an obligatory amount of money that we should give to the
people who Allah mentioned in Quran. It is an Arabic word that means “to purify”, you can pay zakat to
the following categories only:
The Fuqara (poor)
The Masakaeen (the most needy)
The zakat collectors (NGOs)
To the one who converted to islam
To free captives
The wayfarers
In the way of Allah

DAY 4:
EXPLANATION:
Taqwa, the fear of Allah, is the only force that can restrain man from evil and wickedness. It is this fear
of Allah that keeps the heart of a believer awake and enables him to distinguish right from wrong.
Fear of God for self-righteousness, which in Arabic means Taqwa, in fact, characterizes the entire
teachings of the Prophet of Islam (peace be upon him)
It is Taqwa that gives meaning to our simple worship rituals that otherwise would be nothing without it.
Haven't we pondered what would the physical actions of salat (prayers) such as bowing and prostrating
mean without a heart infused with Taqwa?
What makes the hunger and thirst (when fasting) of a believer different from the same actions of a non-
believer?

How would the physical acts of going between the two mountains of Safa and Marwa (in Haj and
Umrah) become valuable in the eyes of Allah?

It's the Taqwa in our hearts that provide these simple physical rituals a special meaning in the eyes of
Allah.

Q9. What message did RasooslAllah give about equality in Islam and what is Taqwa?

A9. Our Holy prophet (P.B.U.H) has focused about equality and equal human rights to everyone
In his last sermon. The gist of what he said is, that no one has a higher position in the eye

of Allah except based on “Taqwa”.

Prophet Muhammad   said: "O mankind, your Lord is one and your father is one. You all
descended from Adam, and Adam was created from earth. He is most honored among you in
the sight of God who is upright. No Arab is superior to a non-Arab, no colored person to a white
person, or a white person to a colored person except by Taqwa (piety)." [Ahmad and At-
Tirmithi]

In another narration, the Prophet   was asked: "who among men is most favored by Allah?'
He   replied: "A man who does the most good to people." [At-Tabaraani]
Day 5:

Explanation of the Text: “O people no Prophet or apostle will come after me and no new faith
will be born

As a Muslim, we all believe and have our deep faith that Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) is
and always be the last messenger of Allah this is the part of our faith and without it our
faith is incomplete. According to this fundamental belief, anyone who now claims to be a Prophet of God
should be viewed as an impostor, whose claim is contrary to the teachings of Islam. All
Muslim scholars consider such self-proclaimed prophets misguided opportunists, who
have doomed their souls for worldly gains.

Khatmay-Nabuwat in the Quran:

O people! Muhammad has no sons among ye men, but verily, he is the Apostle of God and the last in the line
of Prophets. And God is Aware of everything.
