Casa De Segunda or the second home is an ancestral house of the Luz-Katigbak family and is named after Segunda Solis Katigbak, widely regarded as the first love of national hero Jose Rizal. Even though most of the world is aiming for innovation and change, there are stil many places that has been preserved for the generations to see. Casa de segunda may seem like a typical Spanish old house from the outside, it is actually rich in history. Casa de segunda is highly Spanish in architecture and is made to seem like a tropical house. Sadly, it was partly damaged in the world war II in 1942 and is remodeled in 1956 by segunda’s daughter Paz Katigbak Luz-Dimayuga and was restored to its original form in 1996. Moving to the future and innovation is a good thing but I think that there are places that are meant to be untouched and preserved for the world to see and learn. Since many youth today are engrossed by technology, many seem to neglect where they came from
