the Standalone NEM 5.0 D1.15_P4bis) are the same.

New features
This section lists the planned features provided by each of the network elements for
inclusion in the LTE LE5.0 release.

applicable to all customers.
Feature status definitions

Feature statuses used throughout this chapter:
Certified A certified feature has been fully validated and is ready for
field use / general availability. This is also referred to as
(C)
“Certified without restrictions”.
Partially certified A partially-certified feature has at least one known

problem which prevents it from being fully certified during
(PC)
FSA activities, yet the feature is not fully restricted. This is
also referred to as “Certified with restrictions”.
Restricted A restricted feature cannot be validated during FSA

activities due to known problems or incomplete testing.
(R)
This is also referred to as “Not Certified”.

All existing pre-LE5.0 solution features are supported in the mixed mode described in the
Backwards Compatibility section.
Note: The bCEM is restricted to lab use up to 20 UE max.

LS30010-02 Name: IPSEC over IPv6 Validation for LTE (Tracking Feature) C
Description: 3GPP has defined NDS/IP for LTE to cover the protection
of IP-based LTE traffic for OAM and Telecom between the eNB and the
LTE Security Gateway (SEG). This feature will test E2E IPsec between
the eNB and the SEG for the following SEG devices and configurations:
1) SEG is a Fortinet IPSEC VPN Concentrator and will test IPsec for
IPv4 and IPv6 for IKEv2 and Pre-shared key for IKEv2 authentication.
Fortinet SEG model depends on IPsec throughput to test the SEG and the
number of eNBs connected to the SEG via IPsec.
2) SEG is a 7750 SR: will test E2E IPsec with IKEv2 and IPv4 format
only for Pre-shared key IKEv2 authentication method.
Feature Restriction: 7750 SR does not support IPv6 format.
LS30024-05 Name: End to End Software upgrade scenarios and procedures for LTE C
solution from LE4.0 to LE5.0
Description: Upgrade procedure development and test for migration from
LE4.0 to LE5.0
LS30027-01 Name: Digital Certificate and Certificate Management for IPsec in LTE C
Transport
Description: This feature provides:
1) A new method for IKEv2 authentication between the eNB and the
Security Gateway (SEG) via X.509v3 digital certificates
2) A method to manage the X.509 certificates and comply with 3GPP
standards.

LS30031-06 Name: Commercial LBS/E-911 C

Description: Support for commercial LBS and E911 solutions with
integrated User Plane and Control plane location methods based on OMA
SUPL 2.0 and 3GPP R9 standards. Support of hybrid AGPS, OTDOA
(with hearability enhancements) and ECID positioning methods that will
meet regulatory accuracy requirements.
Feature Restrictions/Comments: Certified starting with R26.69.05.15
9471 MME Load.
LS30032-04 Name: Lawful Interception for VoLTE - Home-routed scenarios C

Description: Support LI continuity for voice session in
SRVCC/eSRVCC for home-routed scenarios by doing interception at the
xCSCF/MRF before and after Handover.
LS33043-01 Name: VoIMS Handover (SRVCC) to Circuit Voice for LTE/WCDMA C

Description: This feature supports handover of LTE VoIP call to UMTS
CS network using Single Radio Voice Call Continuity. eNB will identify
handovers requiring SRVCC HO. MME and MSC will support SRVCC
signaling to prepare and execute voice call handover. MME will support
simultaneous PS HO for data bearers and SRVCC HO for voice bearer.
Feature Comments: Because of current limitations in the ALU
UMTS RNC, this feature will be tested in “CS Only” mode (combined
SRVCC/PS HO cannot be supported). SRVCC to UTRAN can be
restricted to “CS only” mode by setting the eNodeB OAM parameter
‘srvccType’ to the value ‘restricted CS.
LS36100-03 Name: LE5.0 3GPP Standards Alignment: R9 March 2011 C

Description: Standardized interfaces to support R9 March 2011 with CRs
and other exceptions explicitly agreed and documented in documentation
for this feature which summarizes Interface Specification Documents.
LS115353-01 Name: E2E Validation of VoLTE in LE5 C

Description: This feature aggregates as dependencies all features that
should be tested as part of the LE5 VoLTE test effort.
LS115396-01 Name: VoIMS Handover from LTE to UMTS Circuit Voice using C
eSRVCC
Description: Support for 3GPP Rel 10 Compliant Single Radio Voice
Call Continuity Solution Procedures (eSRVCC).

Description: This feature is to provide the end-to-end solution to block

Description: This feature provides solution level test of enhanced
measurement parameter capability introduced on the eNB for the
case of IRAT mobility.

Performing upgrades
Order of network element upgrades
The order for performing network element software upgrades within the LTE solution is
as follows:
1. Subscriber and Authentication data Network Elements: 1360 COM, (or 1310
OMC-P), 8650 SDM (HSS), 8950 AAA
2. Charging Network Elements: 8615 IeCCF, 8610 ICC

Some NE software upgrades could be done in parallel. For more information, refer to

LTE LE5.0 Manuals and Guides site.
Upgrade procedures
The official Service Agreement dictates whether the service provider or Alcatel-Lucent
shall perform upgrades for a given network element.
For network elements upgradable by external service providers, please see the network-
element-specific documentation in the LTE LE5.0 Manuals and Guides site.

The previous 9952 WPS software is kept. Its removal could be done after 5620 SAM update is completed.
