INSTRUCTIONS
This assessment task requires you to conduct research on the international furniture and
homewares company, IKEA. You are required to develop a written report on the success of the
organisation’s international marketing opportunities.
Review IKEA’s website, social media platforms and strategic plans and develop a word processed
report on the company’s international marketing strategies.
You are required to submit a detailed, clear and concise report, remembering to reference your
sources of information. You must include the following information in your report:
A brief overview of IKEA.
Discuss why IKEA’s strategies differ in Europe and China to meet the needs of the different
marketing opportunities. Discuss how IKEA manages the costs of the different strategies.
