Central Superior Service (CSS)
CSS Competitive Examination is held by the FPSC every year for induction of officers in Basic Pay Scale 17 into
the civil services of the federation, for the following 12 Groups/ Services under the federal government.

1. Police Service of Pakistan 2. District Management Group 3. Pakistan Customs Service

Eligibility: Both Male & Female Candidates Citizens of Pakistan


Qualification: Graduate (2nd Division) From a Recognized University.
Age: 21 To 28 Years. In The Case Of Government Officials Upper Age Limit Shall Be 30 Years
Number of Chances: Only Three Chances Are Allowed To a Candidate
Subject & Syllabus: The examination will be conducted in the six compulsory subjects (600 marks) and
optional subjects (600 marks). (Total=1500 marks Written=1200 marks +Viva Voce=300 marks)

Eligibility: Both Male & Female Candidates Citizens of Pakistan domiciled in any district of the province of Punjab.
Qualification: Graduate (Second Division) From a Recognized University.
Age: 21 to 31 Years on (subject to PPSC-ADVERTISEMENT). In The Case Of Government Officials, 35 Years
Number of Chances: Only Three Chances Are Allowed To a Candidate
Subject & Syllabus: The examination will be conducted in the following six compulsory subjects (600 marks) and
three optional subjects (600 marks). Detail of the papers is given below:-
