 We live in special times that most of us have not lived through before. We experience how unprecedented availability of knowledge
and technological innovations affect our daily lives in all kinds of ways. On the downside the world is finally becoming aware that
unchanged continuation of the adverse effects on the climate might damage our ecosystem irreversibly and many people around
the globe are turning to leaders promising oversimplified and often archaic explanations and solutions for the worlds most pressing
issues. In this already challenging setting the world realized in early March 2020 that it had been struck by a pandemic with an
impact it had not needed to fight for over a 100 years.

At that same time we in our Berlin Founder Institute chapter nutshell were about to start our most recent batch with more than 40
aspiring founders setting out to have a positive impact on the world. Where in normal times starting a business would require to go
out of the house to meet and convince mentors, customers, partners and investors, this possiblity was suddenly gone only to be
replaced by contact prohibitions and a largely damaged landscape for business overall. As entrepreneurs our founders made the
choice to take this as a challenge and accept that the world has never needed people who set out to solve problems more than now.
They fought through 14 weeks with commitment, passion and sacrifice to define and build the basis for their new ventures.

In this booklet, we are proud to present the 15 founders that have succeeded to master our program and salute to
them to have taken his challenge. We wish them all possible success with their 13 businesses solving a wide variety
of problems.
