SUBJECT: Getting to know me
I am now studying Business Communication subject and I have some expectations for this
class. Firstly, I want to learn clearly about the basic concepts of communication. After having
done with the doctrinal part, manipulating them in real life experience is an important thing for
me to find out the keys to gain success in working with global citizens. Secondly, I wish this
class will be fun and useful. It is not some individuals’ responsibility but everybody in this class
to make it become more valuable and memorable.
For my career, in the short term, I try my best to enhance the interpersonal skills such as
speaking, listening and reading. Confidence reinforcement is also necessary for me to obtain
through group projects, personal presentations, lesson attachments, etc. In the future, I desire to
run my own business with a coffee shop. Moreover, I love traveling to many different countries
to widen my sight about the world and understand how people in distinct culture behave toward
something.
About my favorite activities, I have many hobbies to tell you. During my spare time, listening
to music is usually the best way for me to find relaxation and sharpen my listening skill. I also
love reading global news and going on discussion with my brothers about them every night.
Lastly, I can’t stop myself from singing along to the songs on my phone whenever I have a bath.
Finally, I want you to know about my communication skill. Here are my strengths: clear
voice, correct pronunciation, harmonic pace combined with tone and enumerative. However, I
have a deadly weakness: timidity. Standing in front of a crowd makes me nervous and stressful.
A small distraction from the environment can lead to a Big Bang inside my head and the ideas I
have prepared start to be messy. Being in this class, I hope to improve my strengths and eradicate
the weakness in my communication skill.
Curiosity is a stimulant injection which urges me to move on but fear exists as an intangible
monstrous barrier which prevents me from getting out of my safe zone. I am raising curiosity
every moment and moving towards step by step. Mr. Tin Tin, I hope you will be my angelic
guidance with flaming beam light and saintish voice that repel the sombrous clouds above my
head.
