WELCOME TO DAYTONA!

Since 1959, Daytona International Speedway has been welcoming race fans to the hallowed
grounds of “The World Center of Racing” for high-speed, heart-pounding racing action on the
historic high banks and famed Superstretch. This year we’re more excited than ever to see you
here as we celebrate the historic 50th running of “The Great American Race” – the Daytona 500
– in February and host our annual July spectacular under the lights. We are thrilled you have
chosen Daytona International Speedway to experience some of NASCAR’s most prestigious races
of the year.

For those of you who have been here before, thanks for coming to see us again. For those of you
who are visiting “The World Center of Racing” for the first time, we hope you get the chance to
experience everything DIS has to offer including: Our unique, one-of-a-kind Sprint FANZONE in the
infield, The Midway located outside the Speedway in Turn 4 and the Daytona 500 Experience, the
“Official Attraction of NASCAR.”

As you wander around the historic grounds of Daytona International Speedway, you’ll notice a
few changes including the addition of the “Daytona 500 Champion’s Walk of Fame” outside The
Daytona 500 Experience and a new addition to the Sprint FANDECK over the Sprint Cup Garages
in the Sprint FANZONE. Some things change but mystic and aura of this storied Speedway
remains the same.

Should you need anything while you’re here, please don’t hesitate to call on us. The DIS team is
here to make your visit a memorable one. From our pre-race entertainment to the post-race wrap
up, “Fans R 1st @ Daytona” and we will do everything possible to insure that you have a great
visit. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know. We take your input seriously.

Thank you again for visiting Daytona International Speedway. We look forward to seeing
you again soon.

Sincerely,

Robin Braig
President

HOW DO I GET FROM THE FRONTSTRETCH TO THE SUPERSTRETCH OR VICE-VERSA?
Tram routes between the Frontstretch and the Superstretch:

If you have tickets:

Tram plazas are located outside of each turn to transport guests to and from the Frontstretch and
Superstretch. See map on pages 28 & 29 for tram plaza locations.

If you do not have tickets:

Board the Tram at either the Turn 4 tram plaza (Frontstretch) near Midway Blvd or the Turn 3 tram
plaza (Superstretch) across from Gate 70.
These Trams will transport guests to and from the Frontstretch and Superstretch on the East side
of the Speedway.
This is the only Tram that runs outside the admission gates and does not require already having tickets.

HOW DO I GET TO THE SPRINT FANZONETM?

From:
• TURN 1: A tram is available from the Turn 1 tunnel (end of Lockhart Grandstands) and runs
continuously throughout the event until 2 hours following the checkered flag. Guests must have
an admission ticket and Sprint FANZONE pass to board tram. Guests may also use the pedestrian
walkway to enter through the Turn 1 tunnel.
• TURN 4: Guests may walk through Turn 4 tunnel (end of Oldfield Grandstands) to access the
Sprint FANZONE area. Guests must have an admission ticket and SPRINT FANZONE pass to enter
tunnel.
• FRONTSTRETCH CROSSOVERS: are available along the Frontstretch Grandstands, near
start/finish, on days where pre-race access is permitted. Crossovers allow guests to walk over
the track entering through the grassy tri-oval area. Crossovers close upon the conclusion of driver
introductions.
• SUPERSTRETCH: On days when pre-race access is not available, guests should board the tram
at Tram Plaza 2 (Turn 2) which runs back-and-forth to Tram Plaza 1 (Turn 1) and then board tram
at Tunnel 1 which runs continuously to the Sprint FANZONE area.
• SUPERSTRETCH CROSSOVERS: are available along the Superstretch under the Allison Grand-
stands on the days of the Daytona 500 and the July Sprint Cup event. A tram runs continuously
from the Superstretch crossover to the West end of pit road area. Tram service concludes when
crossovers close 1 to 1-1/2 hours prior to the race.
• Infield Shuttle: A complimentary Speedway shuttle bus/van will be available for fans staying
in the infield. The shuttle will run in a loop from the Sprint FANZONE to the Lake Lloyd community
center to the Yellow RV area, to the Orange area and return. The shuttle will start at 11:00 am each
day with the last round trip departing at 11:00 pm each night. All times are subject to change.
• Trams & Shuttle Bus Policies: Passengers under 12 years old must be accompanied by an
adult. Trams are provided as a courtesy service to speedway guests. Due to the demand for this
service, continuous riding (joyriding) is prohibited. Please remain seated while trams are in motion.

CARBON MONOXIDE ALERT

Follow these guidelines to prevent this colorless, odorless gas from poisoning you and your family.
• Do not use portable heaters or lanterns while sleeping in enclosed areas such as tents, camp-
ers, and other vehicles. This is especially important at high altitudes, where the risk of carbon
monoxide poisoning is increased.
• Vent RV generators and heater system exhaust away from or above your unit and your neigh-
bors’ sites.
• Know the symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning: headache, dizziness, weakness, nausea,
vomiting, sleepiness, and confusion. Carbon monoxide reduces the blood’s ability to carry
oxygen. Low blood oxygen levels can result in loss of consciousness and death.
• Seek medical attention if you or a member of your family develops cold or flu-like symptoms
while camping. Carbon monoxide poisoning, which can easily be mistaken for a cold or flu, is
often detected too late.
• Alcohol consumption and drug use increase the effects of carbon monoxide poisoning.
• Carbon monoxide is especially toxic to a mother and child during pregnancy, infants, the elderly,
smokers, and people with blood or circulatory system problems, such as anemia, or heart
disease.
• The camping equipment industry is working to limit the amount of carbon monoxide produced
by portable heaters, lanterns, and stoves. Labels warning campers about carbon monoxide
poisoning are being developed for these products. Please contact your retailer for further details.
