Diseños Business Plan

I. Executive Summary
A. COMPANY LOGO:
The company name is Diseños, a Spanish term for
designs which is what our business is for. The logo
contains the name of the business inside a circle
which pertains to a certain meaning. Circle
symbolizes the community that encloses and
comprises the business. It also means the
unending passion and dedication to offer the
customers our best services and products. Below
the circle, there is the tagline of the business, “Pin
it. Stick it. Patch it.”.

B. Basic Profile of the Entrepreneur:


The business is proposed by the Grade 12 - ABM La Salud students of
University of San Jose - Recoletos Balamban Campus namely Kate May Ann
Bacus, Nicole Leyson, Erica Rose Fariola, Mae Lanie Cometa, Jimmary Monong,
Kimberly Eunice Sarsalejo, Lyka Libre, Gerielle Flores, Mariah Gabrielle Nakila,
Shayna Mae Prahinog and Jannelle Mikaela Bustamante. As of the products
suggested by the group, the sellers rate that product according to its ability to
attract and sell easily.

II. Background of the Business


A life without art is a boring one; it’s dull and plain. This is where our company,
Diseños, is put into realization. Crafts and designs are made to make a statement about
each individual. As the society’s demand for trending social style increases, the Diseños
aim to live up and meet such demand. The Diseños offer different varieties of crafts and
designs which include pins, stickers and patches. Such products are designed after the
trending social styles of the market. Our products are uniquely made to provide our
customer with style and satisfaction.

III. Description of the Business


Diseños is a manufacturing type of business wherein the designs being offerred
are entrepreneur-made. It focuses on offering ready-to-use designs and crafts of
different varieties such as pins, patches and stickers. Such products are marketable as
these are cute and trendy which aim to meet modern teenagers' interests and standards
for social style. Though many businesses offer almost close enough products, what
makes Diseños’ distinct from the others is that it also offers convenience to the market
in terms of service and accessibility.

IV. Marketing Plan


A. Target Market
Patches and pins are the new trend to kids and teens as it became very
popular in social media. These are used as accessories to bags, clothes,
shoes, pencil cases, etc, and is also considered as a sense of fashion. So,
the entrepreneurs came up to create their DIY version of patches and pins to
be sold in the market, particularly inside the University of San Jose Recoletos
Balamban campus during the Business Simulation Fair. And since it is
handcrafted by the entrepreneurs themselves using cheap and reused
products, it is very customer-friendly. The proponents chose this kind of
products for it is appropriately relevant to the age and preferences of the
target market, which are the grade school and high school student students.
The target market of the business is 520 out of the entire population.

1. Pricing Scheme

The Diseños business owners decided to use the method of Cost-


Plus Pricing in which the selling price is determined by adding a
percentage mark-up to a production unit cost. The prices of our
products are listed below:
P15.00 for 2 patches
P10.00 for a whole set of stickers
P5.00 per pin

2. Place/ Distribution Channel

The proponents use the Direct Marketing Channel or known as


Producer-Customer in which the means of selling is to sell the
products directly to the customers from the producers with no
intermediaries involved.

3. Promotional Technique

Since the proponents’ business is new, it is necessary to start


promoting it to raise awareness among the consumers that these
certain products of this brand exist in the market. With the growing
competition with the other businesses, it is essential that the
products were promoted to convince the customers to buy what is
offered and to be able to establish a connection with the buyers
with your business. And by that, the proponents’ have decided to
create a poster containing the necessary information of the product
and also to conduct a sales talk with the consumers.

a. Processing Area
The processing area will be at the owners’ houses which are
located in Arpili, Balamban Cebu and Camanchilles, Toledo City.
VI. FINANCIAL ANALYSIS
1. Total Project Cost
The group decided to have a capital of P350.00 which will be divided by the
whole members of Diseños business. Each member contributes P35.00 to reach the
capital of the business.
