Good day everyone. As I mentioned in the chat I need more points for your class standing.

This is what
you are going to do. Based on the proposed research problem/topic that you presented during the
midterm, produce hypothetical data. Granting that you have administered the questionnaire to say 500
or 200 of your respondents, you now imagine that you have the raw data with you and you will analyze
them. To be able to apply Z, t, r tests [I will not let you compute for the F-test –ANOVA it is a little bit
complicated, thank you], you need to have numerical values and these numerical values represent
measurement of variables such as age, income or amount of internal revenue allotment, number (or
frequency) of violations, number of covid victims, kilograms of garbage or marijuana or cabbage, grades,
etc. Take note Z, t, r test require INTERVAL or RATIO data. If your raw data is ORDINAL like the level of
compliance or extent of participation (such as high, moderate, slight, or low) you have to transform
them into weighted mean and this weighted mean will now be considered as INTERVAL data. If your
data is ORDINAL then you just produce a hypothetical weighted mean but this must correspond to the
values you used in the questionnaire. You are required to attach the questionnaire in the output that
you will submit. For example, if the data that you will use include age, family income (in a ratio not
ordinal), frequency of reading socio-political issues/news, and level of participation, the questionnaire
would be like this box below:

Instruction: dear respondents kindly fill out this questionnaire…

Age: _____
Monthly Family Income: ______
How often do you watch read the news in any media about socio-political issues: _________

Level of Participation: The items below intend to measure the level of your participation in the civic
activities of your barangay. Please check the box below the corresponding level that you think applies
to you.

High Moderate Low

Participation Participation Participation
1. Cleaning of canals…….
2. Conduct of ……………..
3. ……………………..
4. and so on

Note: Do not include anything that is not part of your hypothesis or computation.
Since z and t-tests are comparisons of two samples you need to include the group (sample) that they
belong such as:
Gender:____
Religion:____
Profession: ____
Year level: ___
etc. _____
In your output that you will submit follow the 6 steps for hypothesis testing as shown in the examples in
the notes. For step # 4 show the details of the computation. [Note: kung hindi ninyo alam magtype or
encode nung mga symbols, subscripts, superscripts, square root, etc. pwedeng written then picturan na
lang but make sure na clear yung photo (hindi kasama ang mukha ninyo ah hehehe]

For Z test use the 3 ways: one sample, two sample means, and two proportions/percentages

[dapat intindihin ninyo ang ibig sabihin nang VARIANCE doon sa formula, dapat proportionate siya sa laki
or liit nung data ninyo.. Let say your data is about the number of violations of the ordinance per month,
and if the probable minimum is 5 violations and the maximum is 30 violations and if the average number
of violations is 15 violations for all of 500 respondents, then possibly (because hypothetical) VARIANCE
can range from 1 to 7. So if you choose 3 as your variance this means that the average difference of the
violations (of the 500 respondents) from the mean of 15 violations is 3. So your VARIANCE should not
be as high as 15 or higher masyadong mataas. I hope you understand, OK

For the t-test, you will just use the COMPARISON OF SAMPLE MEAN AND POPULATION MEAN and
COMPARISON OF TWO SAMPLE MEANS (TWO INDEPENDENT MEASURES) only. Do not include TEST of
DEPENDENT/CORRELATED SAMPLES

For r or PEARSON PRODUCT MOMENT COEFFICIENT OF CORRELATION (R) you will just compute for r.
Exclude or DO NOT compute the CD, CND, and THE SIMPLE LINEAR REGRESSION ANALYSIS. Also, you
EXCLUDE SPEARMAN RANK ORDER COEFFICIENT OF CORRELATION (rs)

USE .05 level of significance in all of the computations. Submission should be private… you may use my

Make sure to include all the names of group members

Please disseminate this to all

Submit on or before May 7, 2020
