President, Hony. General Secretary
Indian Psychiatric Society Indian Psychiatric Society

Dear Friends,

Let us all meet from 16-19 of January 2011 at Delhi for the 63rd Annual National Conference of Indian
Psychiatric Society. Delhi – the capital of India is often referred to as the Heart of India! A melting pot of
cultures since millenia, Delhi offers a unique blend of mystical past and modern present.

Indian Psychiatric Society has always endeavoured for advancements in the art and science of Psychiatry
with the twin objectives to ameliorate the suffereing of patients with psychiatric disorders and to promote
mental health of the society.

The Organising Committee under the able guidance of Dr. N.K. Bohra and dynamic abilities of Dr. Sunil
Mittal has promised to host a mega event, one – of – its – kind. The organising team has promised a
“green” ANCIPS using IT platform to the best possible. They have arrayed a number of activities to
promote opportunities for fellowship, networking, relaxation and, of course, the primary objective of
professional development and academic interaction.

On behalf of Indian Psychiatric Society as well as our personal behalf, we invite you along with your family
to attend this annual event of our Society.

Yours in IPS,

Ajit Avasthi U C Garg

ANCIPS-2011 would therefore provide the impetus for evolving policies, strategies and operational plans
that can make delivery of mental health care for all a reality.

We invite you to be a part of this movement. Moreover, the ANCIPS-2011 shall provide intellectual space
for all: from the student to the expert, the lab based researcher to the caring clinician, the avid academician
to the community care professional, from the biological to the social psychiatrist, the pure pharmaco-
therapist to the practicing psychotherapist; as well as for the deeply committed audience who attend to
learn and apply this information and knowledge, and without whom all shall but exist in vacuum.

With ANCIPS-2011, the ANCIPS Goes Green. We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint, to use
environment friendly materials and utilise available information technology to the best possible in order to
make the ANCIPS as environment friendly as possible.
