Introduction
After the emergency has occurred in the working place, the initial actions that are taken
by the people in the working area during the time of emergency are critical. Some of the relevant
and critical actions after the emergency, including but not limited to employees’ lockdown,
shelter, or evacuation (Klinoff, 2019). These are the initial actions and are very crucial in saving
the lives of the employees in the place. Additionally, the actions may involve calling at public
emergency services. This will provide accurate and full information helping the dispatcher
sending the equipment and responders. Such emergencies may include fire outbreak or
workplace violence. The main actions that are included in the emergency plan are evacuation,
sheltering, shelter-in-place, and lockdown. The emergency plan provides life safety-related

the signals that the employees will escape the danger. The location and situation of the system
should be designed that once it rings, it is heard by all employees in their respective places.

case there is no fire alarm, public address system can be espoused. Additionally, air horns,
among other means of sending signals, can be utilized to ensure that all employees have the
information that there is a fire outbreak or any other emergency. All these attempts are to ensure
