MIMIC Simulator 11.

00 Introduces NetFlow Simulation Along with

Breakthrough in Scalability

New software release extends powerful simulation capability to create 50,000 device lab for large
scale testing

Nashua, NH, January 11, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Gambit Communications, a leading provider of powerful
and affordable network and SNMP simulation tools to more than 1,000 customers worldwide, today
announced the availability of the latest version of its network simulation product, MIMIC Simulator Suite
11.00. The updated MIMIC delivers NetFlow Simulator, a new solution for complete evaluation and
troubleshooting of Flow monitoring, management and analysis applications.

MIMIC Simulator Suite also provides significant functionality and usability enhancements that bolster
scalability to 50,000 devices. This is a major breakthrough in simulation technology.

"MIMIC Simulator is a way for organizations to test the quality, scalability and performance of their
applications, without the need to invest in building large physical testing facilities. With its updated
support for NetFlow simulation and significantly increased simulation of up to 50,000 devices, IT staffs
can test applications with simulated network traffic flows and device loading conditions that more closely
resemble the demanding scalability requirements of their production environment. Tools like MIMIC
Simulator enable IT organizations to test their networks for business-readiness, without putting their
production environments at risk," said Audrey Rasmussen, Partner and Principal Analyst at Ptak, Noel
and Associates.

"MIMIC Simulator helps evaluate and test network management applications by simplifying four key
management requirements: scalable lab, detailed network component diagnostics, dynamic network
update and protocol support," said Uwe Zimmermann, President of Gambit Communications. "This latest
release delivers the features and capabilities that development and QA teams need to ensure the
scalability and performance of their applications, backed up by the value and reliability for which MIMIC
solutions are known."

MIMIC Simulator is the engine behind Gambit's 24/7 SaaS offering for Cisco CCNA practice labs,
MIMIC Virtual Lab Cloud. With MIMIC scaling to 50,000 devices, it enables Cisco training
organizations to provide thousands of CCNA lab pods running simultaneously.

Highlights from the latest MIMIC Simulator:

* MIMIC NetFlow Simulator - Creates a lab, full of devices based on Cisco? NetFlow and IPFIX data to
completely evaluate and test your Flow monitoring, management and analysis applications.
* NetFlow Recorder - Records NetFlow sessions and creates basic NetFlow simulations.
* Scalability - MIMIC now supports 50,000 devices (instead of previous limit 20,000) on Linux.
* UDP support in MIMIC Server Simulator - Now you can also simulate thousands of UDP based servers
along with TCP based servers.

About MIMIC Simulator

MIMIC provides an inexpensive way for enterprises, device vendors, management and software
developers to evaluate, test, demo, develop, train and certify management applications without purchasing
equipment and maintaining labs for those functions. MIMIC has the ability to simulate up to 20,000
devices from one workstation. MIMIC simulations can be distributed over multiple platforms for
enterprise simulation testing of even larger environments. MIMIC includes user-friendly wizards for
importing new MIBs, recording large networks, creating device simulations and network topologies, and
provides full support for SNMP(v1, v2, v3), IPv6, NetFlow, IPMI, DHCP, TFTP, RMON(1, 2) as well as
Telnet, Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS and TL/1.
