Glycine is a neurotransmitter in the brain that impacts multiple functions in the body including

sleep, memory, bone and muscle strength, metabolism and mood. Glycine is being increasingly
studied as treatment for memory, mood, sleep and schizophrenia.
Glycine is active as a coagonist with glutamate at the N-methyl-D-aspartatic acid (NMDA)
receptors.
Glycine’s impact on sleep has also been studied. There are two main ways glycine has been
found to improve sleep. Glycine lowers body temperature which naturally improves one’s ability
to sleep.
I would recommend glycine as viable option as studies up to this point reflect positive outcomes
while side effects are minimal and usually involve nausea.
